5 GENERAL INFORMATION ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, AND TEAM MANAGERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN-IN PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN EACH GAME. The followig iformatio must be submitted to the Registratio Desk at the AYHL Playoffs. Fial (Dec 31, 2018) Certified USA Hockey Team Roster, authorized by your District Registrar. Score sheets to validate your teams 10/20. Your team must have competed as a team uit i at least twety (20) games ad each player must have played i at least te (10) games durig the seaso with that team. I order for games to cout i meetig the 10/20 that team s player roster form (1T) must be certified by the appropriate registrar or his/her desigee prior to that game beig played. Teams formed ad certified prior to the September 1 seaso start may have games played i August couted toward fulfillig the 10/20 with approval of the District Registrar. Player chages to the official team roster for youth Tier I Natioal Champioship boud teams will ot be accepted after December 31, A game is a match played agaist aother team which is registered with a member orgaizatio of the IIHF of the same competitive level ad officiated by registered officials. A game shall cosist of at least three (3) periods except where the game is iterrupted, (by some uforesee evet) after two (2) periods have bee completed. Evidece of CEP (USA Hockey Coachig Educatio Program) level for all rostered coaches that will be participatig i the AYHL Playoffs, or i the viciity of the players bech. This should be idicated o your Certified USA Hockey Roster Successful completio of age specific module idicated o your Certified USA Hockey Roster for all Head ad Assistat Coaches. Successful completio of SafeSport o your USA Hockey Roster for all Head Coaches, Assistat Coaches, Team Maager s ad ay other rostered bech persoel (prit out or copy of o-lie certificate if ot idicated o roster). NOTE: Coaches of Tier I ad Tier II (Natioal Touramet Boud) 14U, 15P, 16U, ad 18U teams must complete Level 4 i their fourth seaso of coachig. Coaches who attai Level 4 certificatio are ot required to atted ay further certificatio cliics but must adhere to the age-specific requiremet as outlied i the USA Hockey CEP Requiremets.

6 GENERAL INFORMATION cotiued A completed AYHL Code of Coduct Form for every Player, Coach, Maager ad ay other bech persoel listed o your USA Hockey Roster. Your curret AYHL web site roster should match your Certified USA Hockey team roster. ONLY those players ad coaches listed o BOTH your USA Hockey roster ad the AYHL web site roster will be permitted to participate i games, or be i the bech area. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule, as it is a USA Hockey liability issue. Please ote that all player iformatio must be complete o the AYHL web site. There will be fies imposed by the League for each missig piece of iformatio at a rate o less tha $25.00per occurrece. Executed AYHL Paretal Pledge & Code of Ethics for each paret o your team. If ay rostered players birthdates are ot certified o your USA Hockey roster you must provide legal evidece of birthdate ad citizeship (birth certificate, passport, etc.) for those players. Teams ad players must be dressed ad ready for their games 20 miutes prior to published schedule time. Games will ot start prior to the published time due to broadcast schedulig. HockeyTV will be broadcastig all AYHL Playoff Semi-Fial ad Champioship games, Stadard rates for viewig all games will apply. For additioal iformatio ad to view games checkout Carmo Photography will be o site for all playoff photography. Merchadise (icludig photography) will oly be available at the Ice Lie Facility. All hotel accommodatios are the resposibility of the idividual teams. The league will ot have provisios for securig hotel rooms at ay veue. Scorekeepig will be the resposibility of the Ice Lie ad Oaks Ceter Ice Staff. If Team Maagers choose to be i the score keepig area they will be allowed providig they are properly rostered as per USA Hockey. Playoff game format will be the same as regular seaso games at each level (period legth, pealties etc). NO OVERTIME i prelimiary roud robi games. Games ca ed i a tie. Oly semi-fial, fial games or games where a wier must be produced will have overtime as outlied. Poits are awarded as follows: Wi = 2 poits Tie = 1 poit Loss = 0 poits

8 THE USA HOCKEY STANDARD OF PLAY & RULES EMPHASIS All members of the USA Hockey commuity share a equal resposibility to esure the itegrity of the game is upheld. Everyoe ivolved must demostrate a awareess ad support for the applicatio, spirit ad respect for the rules i order for cotiued improvemet to occur i the game hockey. To that ed, we wat to make sure that everyoe ivolved i League Playoff games ad i our Atlatic District Playoff games uderstads that this Stadard of Play & Rules Emphasis will be applied i all of these games. We expect that everyoe will give their full support to this policy. Below is a brief summary of the ew Stadard of Play & Rules Emphasis: Through the ew Stadard, our game will cotiue to allow the opportuity for improved skill developmet ad a more positive hockey eviromet for all participats. The missio of USA Hockey is clear; through this ew iitiative a greater emphasis will be placed o skatig, puck possessio ad the proper use of the body to establish positio ad a competitive advatage. The goal of the ew Stadard is to reduce restraiig ifractios i the game ad ot to remove legal body checkig or body cotact. A hard body check or usig body cotact/positio (o-checkig classificatios) to gai a competitive advatage over the oppoet should ot be pealized as log as it is performed withi the rules. The priciples of this ew Stadard iclude the followig: The use of the stick will be limited to oly playig the puck. The stick will ot be allowed to i ay way impede a player s progress. The use of a free had/arm will ot be allowed to grab or impede a player s progress. Players who use their physical skills ad/or aticipatio ad have a positioal advatage shall ot lose that advatage as a result of illegal acts by the oppoet. 9 TIE BREAKERS 1. The results of the head-to-head games played betwee the tied teams i the followig order: a. Stadigs - Most poits. b. Most wis. c. Whe two or more teams have o goals agaist ad the quotiet tiebreaker is required, the teams shall be raked high to low i descedig order of "goals for." 2. If after applyig the formulas of 1 a, b, c, or d, the tie still exists, the results of all the games played by the teams tied i the followig order: a. Most wis. b. If the above procedure does ot break the tie, the teams shall use a shootout procedure as previously described. NOTE: Forfeits - If a team forfeits ay of its games, ad becomes ivolved i ay tie breakig formulas to determie its eligibility to advace to the ext level of play, the team forfeits all games i the roud robi play ad the games are recorded as 1-0 victory for the o-offedig team.

10 OVERTIME RULES Oly for games where a wier must be produced (Sigle Game Elimiatio, Semi-Fial ad Champioship Games). 1) FIRST OVERTIME PERIOD Regulatio time sudde death overtime period, five o five. Three miute rest period at the ed of third period of regulatio play. Teams do ot chage eds. Pealties from the third period will carry over ito the overtime period. Timeout permitted durig overtime period providig it was ot used i regulatio time. If a team receives a pealty i overtime, the teams will play 5 o 4. If the same team is assessed a secod pealty before the first oe expires, the the teams will play 5 o 3. 2) SECOND OVERTIME PERIOD Ice resurface, all levels. Regulatio time sudde death overtime period, five o five. Teams do ot chage eds. Pealties from the period will carry over ito the overtime period. Timeout permitted durig overtime period providig it was ot used i regulatio time. If a team receives a pealty i overtime, the teams will play 5 o 4. If the same team is assessed a secod pealty before the first oe expires, the the teams will play 5 o 3. *If teams remai tied after the secod overtime period outlied above, repeat first ad secod overtime period procedures above util a wier is determied. Teams will cycle thru both veues, all Semi-Fial ad Champioship games are at Ice Lie.
