Every regular-season game will be televised, along with three preseason games. Fox Sports Detroit and Fox Sports Detroit Plus will air 71 of those regular-season games. The April 9 finale against the New Jersey Devils, the final regular-season game at Joe Louis Arena, will air on FSD. 6 Devellano buys minority share of OHL s Spirit The Detroit News 7:12 p.m. EDT August 25, 2016 Red Wings senior vice president Jimmy Devellano has purchased a minority stake in the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. For many, many years I always had a desire to own an Ontario Hockey League franchise, Devellano told MLive.com. My role is going to be as hockey advisor to ownership, Devellano, 73, will serve as an ambassador for the Spirit, promoting the team and its players. Devellano, who has been with the Wings since 1982, said his part-ownership of the Spirit will not affect his role with the Wings. Detroit News LOADED:

7 Wings TV schedule features 74 games on FSD Detroit News 5:59 p.m. EDT August 25, 2016 Seventy-four of the Red Wings' 82 games in the NHL regular season will be featured on Fox Sports Detroit. Sixty-one games will be on FSD and 13 games will be on Fox Sports Plus, including opening night against Ottawa Oct. 17 and the final weekend home games at Joe Louis Arena against Montreal April 8 and New Jersey April 9. Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond will call the action as the Wings attempt to make the playoffs for the 26th consecutive season. Eleven games will be national broadcasts on NBC or NBCSN. 11 Watch former Red Wing Pavel Datsyuk score first goal in KHL By Ansar Khan on August 25, 2016 at 3:07 PM, updated August 25, 2016 at 3:55 PM Pavel Datsyuk scored his first goal for his new team, in his old country, on Thursday. The former Detroit Red Wings star scored 30 seconds into in his second Kontinental Hockey League game for SKA St. Petersburg in Russia. Datsyuk whipped in a backhand shot from the right faceoff circle on a pass from another former NHL star, Ilya Kovalchuk. Datsyuk added a pair of assists in St. Petersburg's 7-1 victory over Salavat Yulaev. Datsyuk signed a two-year deal worth a total of roughly $7.8 million with SKA St. Petersburg in early July, a few weeks after officially announcing he was leaving the Red Wings. The Red Wings traded his $7.5 million cap hit to the Arizona Coyotes on June 25. Michigan Live LOADED:

12 Red Wings senior VP Jimmy Devellano part-owner of Saginaw Spirit By Ansar Khan on August 25, 2016 at 12:03 PM, updated August 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM DETROIT Jimmy Devellano began his hockey career scouting junior teams in the Toronto area for the St. Louis Blues in the late 1960s. Close to a half-century later, he has fulfilled a longtime dream of owning a junior club. Devellano, the Detroit Red Wings senior vice president, is now a minority owner of the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit. "For many, many years I always had a desire to own an Ontario Hockey League franchise," Devellano said. "We all have desires and dreams, but sometimes they're not realistic. In my case, I never had that type of money that it requires to buy a full team." Devellano, 73, joins an ownership group that includes owner and governor Dick Garber and president and managing partner Craig Goslin, whose friendship with Red Wings general manager Ken Holland created this opportunity for Devellano. "My role is going to be as hockey advisor to ownership," Devellano said. "They thought I could help them in a hockey sense. They seem to think I can help them push the franchise forward." Devellano will serve as an ambassador for the Spirit, promoting the team and its players. As an alternate governor, he'll attend OHL Board of Governors meetings. He'll also consult with the marketing department. Devellano has been with the Red Wings since He has been a part of seven Stanley Cup-winning teams (three with the New York Islanders and four with Detroit) and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in "We welcome Jim Devellano and his Stanley cup championship pedigree to the Saginaw Spirit organization," Garber said in a statement. "In his nearly 50 years in the game, there are few that have attained the success that Jim Devellano has. We look forward to working together to bring that same championship mindset to the Spirit in the coming years." Devellano said his part-ownership of the Spirit will not affect his role with the Red Wings, for whom he scouts teams and players at the junior, AHL and NHL levels and advises on personnel decisions. "There's also some synergies for the Detroit Red Wings in this," Devellano said. "When I see Saginaw, I'll be seeing another team as well and they'll all have eligible draft picks. The more we know about the amateurs in the Ontario Hockey League the better it is for the Detroit Red Wings. "My No. 1 priority is the Detroit Red Wings. They'll understand that in Saginaw." 12

13 He said the Red Wings have had a good relationship with the Spirit. Goaltending prospect Jake Paterson played in Saginaw. The Red Wings this off-season acquired forward prospect Dylan Sadowy, a former Spirit, from San Jose. Defenseman Filip Hronek, Detroit's second-round pick in this year's entry draft, was selected by Saginaw in the CHL import draft. Devellano compared his role with that of Toronto Maple Leafs assistant GM Mark Hunter, one of the owners of the OHL's London Knights. Devellano will be attending some games in Saginaw and seeing the Spirit often on the road. "There are probably about five franchises about an hour-and-a-half out of Toronto (where he lives)," Devellano said. He added, "It's something I've always wanted to do. Teemu Pulkkinen Position: Right wing Age: 24 Height/Weight: 5-11/ stats: 36 games, six goals, six assists, 12 points, plus-5 rating, 10 penalty minutes; Playoffs: No games. Career stats: 70 games, 11 goals, nine assists, 20 points, plus-7 rating, 26 penalty minutes; Playoffs: No games. Contract status: One year at a cap hit of $812,500. He'll be a restricted free agent after the season in review: Recorded second career two-goal game Oct. 10 at Carolina.... Scored in overtime at St. Louis on Nov Scored four goals in his eight games but only two in his final 28 games and none in his last 16 games.... Missed 18 games due to dislocated shoulder suffered Dec. 3 on hit from Arizona's Martin Hanzal.... Averaged 1:44 per game on the power play.... Recorded three power-play points (goal, two assists).... Was a healthy scratch the final 13 regular season games and all five playoff games.... Had two assists for gold medal-winning Finland at the World Championship but didn't play in the final five games.... Underwent shoulder surgery in early June, with an anticipated recovery time of four-to-six months outlook: Pulkkinen brings a unique dimension to this team with his booming right shot, but his future with the organization is in doubt. He got off to a good start last season (six goals, 11 points in 21 games) but was set back by a shoulder injury and never regained form. He was a frequent healthy scratch the second half of the season. He's strictly an offensive player and needs to play in the top-nine, with regular powerplay duty and players who can get him the puck, to maximize his abilities. A prolific goal-scorer in the AHL, Pulkkinen must continue working on creating space for himself in a tighter-checking NHL and getting the puck on net (he averaged more than one missed shot per game). He's not due back until sometime between late October and early December, making it more difficult for him to crack the lineup on a team that has too many forwards. 14
