5 COACHES & MANAGERS MEETING WHEN: Saturday March 16, :00pm, following the banquet WHERE: WHO: WHAT: District of Port Hardy Council Chambers - a short walk from the arena Coaches/Manager Mandatory representation from each team Tournament format Information packages Emergency Response Plan Rules and Regulations Team Registrations Questions MANDATORY EQUIPMENT CHECKS Teams should have their local Risk Management Coordinator do an equipment check prior to travel to the tournament in order to ensure compliance. A BC Hockey Representative will do an equipment check before the start of each teams first game and randomly throughout the tournament. Players will not be able to participate with illegal/worn equipment. 5

6 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN Each team will be provided a detailed Emergency Response Plan in their Coaching Package. TEAM HOSTS AND 7TH Player One Tri Port minor hockey (7 th ) player will be assigned to each team to join in the Opening Ceremony and cheer on the teams. We ask that teams bring an extra jersey (smaller if possible) that can be worn by the assigned player during the Opening Ceremony. Each team will be assigned an adult Team Host who will welcome your team to the community and be available throughout the tournament to assist with navigating the community and support coaching staff and players as needed. 7 OPENING CEREMONIES WHEN: Sunday March 17, 2019 (Immediately prior to last game of the day) 7:00 p.m. WHERE: WHO: HOW: DIGNITARIES: Port Hardy Arena All Teams (Mandatory attendance) + 7th Player The two teams scheduled for 8:00 pm game to dress in full gear. The two teams that just finished playing to keep gear on but can remove some upper body gear / skates if desired. All other teams in dress clothes and home jerseys. Meet at the Port Hardy Civic Centre. Guest Speakers and Local Dignitaries CLOSING CEREMONIES Will be held following the Championship game on Wednesday March 20, The Fair Play Award will be awarded at this time. Attendance is not mandatory. 7

Deadline to order is March 7, 2019 if you would like the apparel to be sent to the Championships. Orders placed after March 7, will be shipped to your personal address but will not be available to wear at the Championships. TOURNAMENT PASSES Through the generosity of our local communities and corporate sponsors, there will be no charge for admission. We encourage everyone to come out and support the 2019 Tier 3 Bantam Championships. With that being said, there will be a donation box at the entrance if you would like to make a donation. 13
