4 LaSalle Club Sport Facilities McCarthy Stadium Home of: Men s and Women s Lacrosse, Men s and Women s Rugby, Men s and Women s Soccer, and Ultimate Frisbee McCarthy Stadium serves as home to the Explorers intercollegiate soccer (men's & women's) and lacrosse programs. It also serves as a primary venue for La Salle intramurals, club sports and open recreation space for the University. McCarthy Stadium features a durable and consistent Sprinturf playing surface. The Stadium is also equipped with lights, making it possible for use throughout the day and into the evening. McCarthy Stadium seats 7,500 spectators in its historic bleachers. The SprinTurf surface, installed in 2006, is surrounded by a six lane, one-quarter mile track. The Stadium originally opened in 1936 and annually serves as the host of La Salle commencement ceremonies. 4

5 Hank DeVincent Field DeVincent Field is a baseball field located on the campus of La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The field is home to the La Salle Explorers baseball team of the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference and the LaSalle Club Baseball team. The field holds a capacity of 1,000 fans. The playing surface at DeVincent Field, like McCarthy Stadium, is Sprinturf. Kirk Pool Kirk Pool is the home of the LaSalle Club Water Polo Team. The waters of Kirk Pool add to the recreation program, as well as serve as the home of the Explorers Swimming and Diving programs. Kirk Pool is open to all La Salle students, faculty and staff. Proper ID must be shown at the front desk of the Hayman Center for admittance. 5

6 Parking All buses are required to park in the half-circle in the back of the Hayman Center on Olney Ave. Buses will be able to drop teams at the 20 th St. entrance to McCarthy Stadium and DeVincent Field. For parking at DeVincent Field or McCarthy Stadium, parking is avaliable on South Campus in Lots C1 and C2. The entrance is on Lindley St. between Belfield Ave. and Ogontz Ave. There is no cost involved. For parking at Kirk Pool, parking is available at Lots G and H. More information about parking can be found on the campus map on page 10 of this guide. Directions From Philadelphia International Airport Exit airport following signs to "Central Philadelphia" via Route 76 West Stay on 76 West to US 1 North (Roosevelt Blvd.) Exit from US 1 at "Broad Street", make a left onto Broad Street (North). Follow Broad Street North to Somerville Avenue (About 1 mile). Left onto Somerville. Follow Somerville to dead-end (Ogontz Avenue). Turn right onto Ogontz Avenue. Follow to Olney Avenue. Turn left onto Olney Avenue. Follow to 20th Street. Pass 20th Street. At the next light, turn left into the driveway. From Center City Drive North on Broad Street/Rt. 611, passing Temple University Hospital Just past the intersection of Broad Street/Rt. 611 and Rt. 1/Roosevelt Blvd., get in the left hand turn lane. Left onto Somerville. Follow Somerville to dead-end (Ogontz Avenue). Turn right onto Ogontz Avenue. Follow to Olney Avenue. Turn left onto Olney Avenue. Follow to 20th Street. Pass 20th Street. At the next light, turn left into the driveway. 6
