1 Greater Grand Forks Soccer Tournament July 12-14, 2019 General Information. The Greater Grand Forks Soccer Club invites you to participate in its Greater Grand Forks Soccer Tournament July 12-14, 2019 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Please refer to our GGFSC.com website for tournament information. The tournament is a competitive youth soccer tournament and is appropriate for youth soccer teams in U8 - U19 age divisions (see information on age divisions below). Play will start on Friday afternoon; final games should be midafternoon on Sunday. Team rosters for U8-U10 team rosters will be allowed a maximum of 12 players; 11 and U12 team rosters will be allowed a maximum of 15 players and U13-U19 age divisions may have up to 18 players. All players must have current U S Youth Soccer or approved organization player passes, or the appropriate National Association passes. In addition, all teams must provide: 1) Official team roster, 2) Liability waivers and, 3) Player cards for all players and coaches All teams must follow proper U S Youth Soccer travel procedures or, for foreign teams, FIFA travel procedures. Foreign teams are also required to provide written proof of permission to travel from their National Association, and written proof of insurance coverage for their players (sickness, accident, injury, etc). All age brackets: U8-U10 rec teams will play 5 vs.5 (3 game guarantee- jamboree) U8-U10 games will be played 7 vs. 7 (3 game guarantee- jamboree) U11 and U12 games will be played 9 vs. 9 (3 game guarantee) U13-U18 (U13,U14, U16, U18) games will be played 11 vs. 11 (3 game guarantee) All teams will receive a game ball that their team may keep after the tournament. (Except for rec teams) Awards. Champions will be determined in each tournament bracket of play for U11-U19 teams. Champion T-shirts will also be awarded to 1 st place players on teams U11-U19. All U8-U10 team players will receive participation medallions. Player of the Game Award Greater Grand Forks Soccer Club is pleased to present the Player of the Game award program for the Greater Grand Forks Soccer Tournament. This program is designed to recognize outstanding sportsmanship, soccer skills and/or effort of a player on the opposing team. At the conclusion of every game each coach/team will decide which player on the opposing team has earned the award and present it to them. You will receive the award (to be awarded to an opposing player) when the team registers. (Rec teams not included)

2 Instructions: 1. Prior to kick-off, coaches should discuss who has been awarded a Player of the Game (POG) in previous games to avoid the same players receiving multiple cards. 2. Coaches will award one card to the opposing player they (or their team) determines to be the POG on the other team. 3. We encourage coaches to consider character traits such as hustle, work ethic, attitude and sportsmanship as well as overall skill. 4. POG cards should be given right after the final whistle, during the handshake. 5. Thank you for joining us in our effort to promote the Spirit of the Game as well as good competition. To ensure a reasonable game schedule, we reserve the right to combine age divisions in tournament brackets and to limit the number of teams playing in any given bracket. Registration. Teams will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The registration deadline is June 1, 2019 PLEASE NOTE: Any registrations received that are postmarked after June 1,2019 will be charged an additional $50.00 late fee. U8-U10 rec registration fee is $75.00 U8-U10 registration fee is $ U11-U12 registration fee is $ U13-U18 registration fee is $ (All fees are to be paid in US funds.) Teams who withdraw prior to June 1, 2019 will receive a full refund of fees less a $50.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be allowed after June 1, All withdrawal notices must be in writing.
