Statin 1: Skating (ABs) Have players put their sticks dwn in a rw. They line up facing the sticks and perfrm a number f different agility mvements running ver the sticks. Run 1 ft ver each stick, 2 feet tgether hp, step ver sideways facing left and right, using edges t slalm between them. Statin 2: Statinary Passing Players partner up, stand 8-10 apart and pass the sftball back and frth. Wrk n prper technique, emphasize keeping the hands away frm the bdy and sweeping the puck. Players shuld stand sideways s that they pass crss bdy. Sftballs will help frce prper technique. Statin 3: Sharks and Minnws Tag Tw players are designated as the sharks t start. The minnws must skate frm blue line t blue line withut being tagged. If they are tagged, they becme sharks t. Statin 1 Statin 6 Statin 5 Statin 2 Statin 3 S S Statin 4: Slalm Puck ntrl Players carry a puck thrugh a slalm curse ending with a sht n net. Emphasize prper shting technique at the end. This can be turned int a race t frce speed. Statin 5: Shting Have players sht against the bards. Wrk n prper wrist sht technique, shting ff the prper ft, and weight distributin. Players shuld stand sideways t the bards s that prper weight transfer is used. Start with the puck behind the back ft and sweep puck twards target. Statin 6: 1v1 Keep Away Have players play 1v1 keep away in a tight area. Have multiple 1v1 s ging at nce t encurage playing in traffic areas. Statin 4 Games: 4v4 rss-ice (9 minutes) Play 4v4 crss-ice fr the remaining time. hange every 30 secnds. aching Tip: Dn t be afraid t repeat a practice befre mving n t the net ne in the sequence. The tagged player is set free when smene skates a circle arund him. Statin 6 Statin 3 Statin 3: Passing Players practice passing technique n bth the frehand and backhand. Players shuld be psitined s that they make the passes acrss their bdy. Sweep the ball when passing and keep the hands ut away frm the bdy. Use sftballs t frce prper technique. Statin 4: has Stickhandling Players stickhandle skating arund bstacles. All players are invlved. The cach can switch t players ging in pairs in a fllw the leader setup. heck t see that each player is hlding their stick prperly. Hands abut shulder width apart and tp hand at the end f the stick partially held in the palm with the V between thumb and frefinger n t f the stick like yu wuld hld a hammer. Statin 5: 1v1 Hckey Keep tw 1v1 hckey game ging with a change f players every 30 secnds. Statin 6: bstacle urse (AB s) Have players begin bstacle curse by starting n their knees, stmach, back, etc. Jump ver bstacle, immediately fllwed by sliding under an bstacle. Include 360 degree turns and a slalm curse. n all turns, lead with stick. Statin 5 Statin 4 Game: Pm Pm Pull Away (9 Minutes) Players must skate t ppsite end f ice withut being tagged by selected taggers. nce tagged players stand alng bards. This is gd crdinatin drill fr puck cntrl. heck t see that each player is hlding their stick prperly and that tw hands are used t stickhandle. Statin 3: Tag with Bth Feet n Ice Players must push with inside edges and keep bth feet n ice as the maneuver t escape the cach. If tagged the tagged player drps t knees until a teammate skates a circle arund him and is then set free. Statin 4: Passing Shuttle Player with puck skates 3 strides, passes t ppsite line and then skates t the back f that line. Net the player with the puck skates 3 strides and passes t ppsite line. Wrk bth frehand passing and backhand passing. Remember t sweep puck. Statin 5: 3 v 3 Tight Space Play 3v3, change n whistle every 30 secnds. Statin 6: 1v1 r 2v2 Hit the Tire Pass the puck ff the tire t scre. The cach can have tw 1v1 s r 2v2 s ging n at the same time. Statin 6: Skating & AB s Skating Technique and AB s Step ver stick, stick thrugh legs, drp t knees, drp t knees 360, lg rle t left/right, run n skates frward, butt t heels glide, inside edge swizzles, swizzle ut jump feet tgether, single leg stride left/right. Statin 6 Statin 5 Statin 4 Game: Full Ice Glve Tag (9 Min) Players must skate the length f the ice withut getting hit by a glve thrwn by the caches. If the player can catch a glve befre it hits the grund, they have a free pass t ppsite end. Statin 6: Lse Puck Races (ABs) Players race fr a lse puck and finish with a sht n gal. Vary curse and add etra agility. Half f the players are statinary in a cnfined area, the ther players skate randm tight turns arund the statinary players fr 20 t 30 secnds. Then the grups switch. Players shuld lead with their stick dwn and in frnt fllwing their stick blade arund the turn. Keep head up t see traffic. Assign caches t prepare statins. Statin 1 Statin 2 Statins: 6 Statins 6 minutes n the whistle t change statins, players d pp crn (drp t their knees and up) 5 times befre mving n t the net activity. Statin 1: Passing Player starts backwards and gets a pass frm the net persn in line. Pivt frwards, give and g pass with cach. Skate thrugh cnes and make 2 nd give & g pass t cach, 360 spin and finish with a sht n gal. The players must keep try t make passes withut planting their feet (pass in stride). If n backhand, pass and receive n the backhand. Shw a gd target fr receptin. Statin 2: Bull in the Ring 2 (bdy cntact) Have players turn their sticks ver. ne player attempts t skate with a ringette ring inside the circle aviding the checker. The checker attempts t steal the ring. Start with a ringette ring and then prgress t using a puck if the players are advanced. Keep tw set f players mving within the circle. Statin 3: 2v2 Scre n Either Net Play 2v2 in a tight space. Players can scre n either net. aches cntinue t spt pucks int play fr 30 secnd shifts. Statin 4: bstacle urse (ABs) Skate thrugh curse wrking n tight turns, stps, spins and AB s. Lead with stick. Statin 5: Passing Same drill as in statin 1. Statin 6: Stps and Starts Stp & start at each cne wrking n technique. aches wrk individually with thse that need help. Add in drp t knees between cnes. Games: rss-ice Scr (7 Minutes) Line each team up n ppsite side bards. Put 20 pucks int the middle f the zne. n the whistle, each team tries t put as many pucks int the ther teams net as pssible. When all the pucks are in a net, the team with the mst gals wins. Statin 6 Statin 5 Warm-up Statin 3 Statin 4 aching Tip: The fun part f practice shuld always last a full 60 minutes.

Repeat each activity twice fr 45 secnds. Skate alng the line acrss the ice perfrming different agility skating. 2 Ft hp ver the line, single leg hp ver the line, tw ft slalm. Add pucks and repeat. Assign caches t prepare statins. Statin 1 Statin 2 Statin 1: 1v1v1 Keep Away Dived players int grups f three. Players Play keep away frm each ther in a cnfined space. Encurage players t try and use their hand skills t beat their ppnents instead f just skating away frm them. Statin 2: Backwards Bumper Butts Players skate backwards and attempt t run int each ther kncking the thers ff balance. Everyne shuld begin with their hands n their knees. If a player is kncked dwn r their hands leave their knees, they are ut. Last player standing wins! Statin 3: Backwards -ut Starts ach wrk with players n their backwards -cut starts and backwards skating. ne cach wrks n left ft start and ther cach n a right ft start. Statin 4: Tight Turns Players skate 360 degree tight turns arund each cne. Keep stick under cntrl and lead with the stick blade near ice and ut in frnt. After a few minutes add in pucks. Statin 5: Passing Lanes Game Using a marker, divide the ice int three znes. The players in the end znes attempt t pass pucks t each ther thrugh the middle zne withut being intercepted. Players in the middle zne attempt t steal passes. All passes must be n the ice and direct (nt ff the bards). If a player in the middle zne intercepts a pass, he nw becmes a new passer. The ld passer mves t the middle. Keep 3 t 4 pucks in play. Statin 6: 2v2 Scre Any Net Play 2v2 in a tight space fr 30 secnd shifts. Players can scre n either net.
