Your abilities, skills and dedication place you among the best in the entire state. And as everyone in Georgia knows - the best in the world! We at Martinez-Evans Little League are proud to serve as host to the 2014 Georgia State Senior League Championship Tournament, and we welcome each and every one of you here for a week of amazing baseball. During your stay, we want you to have a positive experience both on and off the field of play. We will do everything in our power to make you feel right at home. While in Martinez-Evans, the Tournament Director and all of the MELL members will be happy to assist you should you need anything. Although you are all here to win the tournament and advance to the next level, please don t forget to enjoy the journey. Have fun, play fair and appreciate the experience. THE STATE OF GEORGIA HAS PROVEN, OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS THAT OUR YOUNG ATHLETES CAN COMPETE WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD. 4 The Columbia County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the citizens of Columbia County, wishes to welcome you to the Georgia Little League Senior League Baseball State Championship. It is a great honor to be involved with a state championship, and we are proud to be the host county. We would like to thank the hard working folks involved with the Martinez-Evans Little League. These volunteers offer many youth of Columbia County the opportunity to play top flight baseball. It is a wonderful compliment and addition to the county recreation programs. Having played in two high school state championship series, winning one, I cherish the memories, and know that all who play here in July will feel the same. It is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of coaches, players, parents and all involved to participate. We hope you have a wonderful time in Columbia County and will visit again soon. Use of batting cages up to 2 hours before game time is limited to the teams scheduled to play. Practicing will not be permitted on the game field. Teams may bring in one team cooler. PERSONAL COOLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED Every attempt will be made to contact teams with information on rain outs or schedule changes. We urge you to enjoy the food at the ball field to offset tournament expenses. SEATING There are bleachers to accommodate many but fans are welcome to bring their own chairs. PARKING There will be adequate parking at the Evans High School for $5.00 per car. If you are traveling by RV or Bus please call Woodie Melton for parking information at HOSPITALITY In lieu of banquet or cookout three coaches and team players will receive a ticket for a full meal at concessions on Saturday, July 12 th.
