Glastonbury HS All-American as a senior played in the Connecticut North-South game in 2002 captained the Tomahawks to a 21-1 record as a senior and the state championship game team won the conference title his freshman and senior seasons selected all-state and all-conference as a senior and all-conference as a junior also lettered in football as a junior and senior. Personal: Edward Hanlon Murphy born June 16, 1984, in Pittsburgh, Pa. son of Nancy and Ted Murphy brother of Katie (27) and Meredith (13) lists his biggest athletic thrill as playing in the Connecticut State title game after his senior year joined high school teammate Tyler Hereth at Maryland chose Maryland because of its outstanding business school and is majoring in general business switched to No. 25 as a sophomore after wearing No. 37 as a freshman.
