3 Shane Carney Club Director / U15 Girls Lunar / U17/18 Girls Solar Shane founded Eclipse in 2010 and has been the director since its inception. He has 16 years experience coaching youth club soccer players and has received more than 50 certifications in the areas of coaching soccer, child development, and player safety. He is in his seventh year coaching the Varsity Boys Soccer team at Campolindo where he has won more titles than the program had in its previous 40+ years combined. He grew up in Lafayette and attended Burton Valley, Stanley and Campolindo. Luis Pinto Director of Coaching and Operations / U18 Girls Lunar / U17/18 Girls Solar Luis is entering his fifth season with Eclipse and his fourth as one of the club s directors. Luis played his college soccer at Chabot College. In addition to coaching for Eclipse, Luis has coached at Hayward High School, Tennyson High School and Chabot College. He is currently the JV Girls soccer coach at Campolindo. Luis holds the National, Advanced National and Premier diplomas from the NSCAA. Amelia Salazar U16 Girls Amelia is a graduate of Saint Mary s College where she competed on their soccer team. Amelia grew up in Oregon where she was a star player for Oregon Rush Soccer Club and Bend High School. She was recruited to Saint Mary s by former Eclipse Girls Director Heather Dittmer when Heather was an assistant coach on their staff. During her time at Saint Mary s, Amelia was a coach for the SMC youth soccer camps. Amelia is entering her third season as a head coach with Eclipse. Brandon Ibarra U15 Boys Solar/Goalkeeping Trainer Brandon was an NSCAA All American goalkeeper in high school, which led him to earn a scholarship to Division 1 Cal State Northridge where he played goalkeeper collegiately. Following his playing career, Brandon jumped into the coaching world where he has spent the past eight years coaching at the high school level and working as a private goalkeeper trainer. Brandon is entering his third season as a head coach and goalie trainer with Eclipse.

4 Brian Pinon U13 Boys Solar Brian has experienced a lot of success as a player. He played his youth club soccer in the De Anza Force academy system, as well as in the Olympic Developmental Program. He spent one year playing professionally for Club Atlas in Mexico before returning to the states to play for Holy Names University. He has several years of youth coaching experience, including stints with Castro Valley Soccer Club, Juventus Soccer Club, and Cabernet Indoor Soccer Complex. This is Brian s first year with Eclipse. Bryan Carney U9 Boys Bryan has been involved in local youth soccer for over twenty years. During that time frame, he has been a soccer coach for LMYA, Lamorinda Soccer Club, Campolindo High School and Eclipse. He also spent many years coaching indoor soccer and futsal teams. In addition to being a coach, Bryan has also served on the boards of many local organizations, including Lamorinda Soccer Club and Eclipse. This is his sixth year with Eclipse. Caroline Sernett U11 Girls Lunar Caroline is a two sport varsity athlete at College Prep. She has played for Eclipse for four seasons. After two successful years as an assistant coach for Eclipse, Caroline was promoted to the position of U9 Head Coach last fall and flourished in her new role. Caroline is entering her second season as a head coach for Eclipse and her fourth year as a part of our coaching staff. Colette Bowler U12 Girls Solar / U13 Girls Solar Colette played collegiately at UMASS Amherst where she helped lead the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances and as high as a #2 national ranking. She coached as a graduate assistant at Saint Mary s College before becoming the first head women s soccer coach in Mills College history in 1994 where she remained for 20 successful years. This will be her third season as a head coach with Eclipse.

5 Dana Fagundes U9 Girls / U11 Girls Nova / Future Eclipse Dana was a high school soccer teammate of Coach Norma at San Leandro High School. After high school, Dana went on to play collegiate soccer at Chabot College. She is currently the JV Girls Soccer Head Coach at San Leandro High School and is excited to enter her first season as a head coach with Eclipse. Felix Ramos U11 Boys Solar Felix was a top amateur soccer player in the San Francisco area during the 1980s. His love of the game led him to transition into coaching. He has more than 15 years of club coaching experience at Bay Oaks and Jack London Youth Soccer League. He also has seven years of varsity high school coaching experience between stints at Skyline, Oakland High, and Encinal. This is Felix s first year as a head coach with Eclipse, although he s followed the club for many years through his daughter Leticia who also coaches for Eclipse. Frank Valenica U10 Boys / U16 Boys Frank is a former star youth player who played collegiately at Chabot College. During his time there, Frank took several coaching courses to build his coaching foundation. He has coached club soccer in the Hayward area and was the assistant coach for the Saint Mary s College Women s Club Team this season. This is his first season as a head coach with Eclipse. Garrett Haislet U14 Boys Solar / Future Eclipse Garrett began playing soccer at the age of 6, serving as the team captain and leading goalscorer for many of his youth teams. He played for four years in the Campolindo High School soccer program, including being the JV captain and a varsity letterwinner. At Campolindo, he was coached by Eclipse Director Shane Carney. Garrett coached U10 Boys, the Future Eclipse program and worked as an assistant coach with several Eclipse teams last season. He is the Campolindo JV Boys Soccer coach and is entering his third season with Eclipse.

6 John Nakanishi U11 Boys Lunar / U15 Boys Lunar John has been coaching youth soccer for over 10 years, including stints with Heritage Soccer Club and PHMSA. In addition to being a coach, he has also served as an Advanced Coaching Instructor in the AYSO programs. He has many advanced coaching licenses, including the NSCAA National Diploma and AYSO National Coaching Certificate. He is currently the JV Boys soccer coach at College Park High School. John is returning for his second season with Eclipse after coaching U10 and U13 Boys teams last season. Johnny Molina U12 Boys Johnny played collegiately at the Private University of Nicaragua. He began coaching youth soccer in the Bay Area in 1994 and has coached for several different organizations, including Diablo FC, Mt. Diablo, and Heritage Soccer Club. He has also coached the varsity girls soccer team at Clayton Valley High School. This will be his second season with Eclipse. Joseph Viola U18 Boys Solar Joe grew up and lived in Germany for a large part of his life. During his time in Germany, he played for clubs including FSV Zellingen, SV Eussenheim, and FV 1920 Karlstadt. He started his coaching career coaching his daughter in OYA. His first club coaching experience came with Pleasanton Rage. This high school season, Joe was the JV Girls Soccer head coach at Miramonte. This will be his first season with Eclipse. Julio Esparza U14 Girls / U15 Girls Solar Julio played soccer growing up for Oakland Chivas and Hayward High. After high school, he played college soccer at Chabot College. He has ten years of youth club soccer coaching experience between stints at Dublin SC, San Ramon SC, Bulldogs Soccer Academy, and Eclipse. He spent 5 years as the JV Girls Soccer Coach at Hayward High and is currently in his third year coaching their varsity girls team. He is entering his fourth year with Eclipse.

7 Leticia Ramos U10 Girls / U13 Girls Nova / Future Eclipse Director Leticia played nine years of club soccer for JYSL and played varsity soccer at Oakland High School. After high school, she played college soccer at Chabot College. Leticia coached a wide variety of age groups during her time as a soccer camp instructor for the Piedmont Recreation Department. Leticia has been an assistant coach for Eclipse for four seasons, a head coach the last two years, and ran our Future Eclipse program last season. Leticia is entering her fifth year with Eclipse. Marisol Luna U10 Boys / U16 Boys Marisol has played soccer all of her life, from her youth club days in San Diego through college. She is a recent graduate of Saint Mary s College and was the head coach of the Saint Mary s College Women s Club Team this past season. In addition to coaching, she also works in the mental health department of Oakland schools. This is Marisol s first season with Eclipse. Miguel Camacho U14 Boys Lunar Miguel played high school soccer at Arroyo High School. He went on to play two years of college soccer at Chabot College where he met Eclipse Boys Director Luis Pinto. Miguel was the Head JV Boys Soccer Coach and varsity assistant coach for the Tennyson High School boys soccer program before switching over to work with the Campolindo JV Boys team this year. Miguel enters his fourth season as a head coach with Eclipse after coaching U12 Boys and U16 Boys teams in Norma Sanchez U12 Girls Lunar / U13 Girls Lunar Norma grew up in the Bay Area playing club soccer in San Francisco and Hayward. After a successful youth playing career, Norma played collegiately at Chabot College and Lyon College. Norma gained early experience coaching youth players through a variety of soccer camps during her time in college. She served as a head coach for Eclipse the last two seasons and is currently in her second year as the varsity girls soccer coach at San Leandro High School. Norma is entering her third year with Eclipse.

8 Seth Kofman Future Eclipse Seth was a four year varsity player at Campolindo High School where he was coached by Eclipse Director Shane Carney. During his four years, Seth earned all league honors three times and was the DFAL Overall MVP as a senior captain. Seth helped lead the team to two DFAL titles and two Winter Soccer Classic titles. He plays collegiate soccer at Macalester College. He is entering his first season as a coach for Eclipse. Tarek Alameddine U11 Girls Solar / U13 Boys Lunar Tarek Alameddine first came together with Eclipse Director Shane Carney on a soccer field in 1996 as club teammates. Tarek went on to become the DFAL s Offensive MVP in 2003 while playing for Acalanes High School. He competed in soccer at the collegiate level at UC Santa Cruz. Tarek enters his fifth season as a head coach for Eclipse. In addition to coaching for Eclipse, Tarek is a personal fitness trainer and bootcamp instructor. He also has worked as an assistant coach for the Acalanes boys soccer program. Zachary Kaufman U18 Boys Lunar Zak played collegiate soccer at UMASS Amherst and Salem State University. After a successful collegiate career, he played in the semi pro ranks with teams in Massachusetts and California. He began his coaching career in the San Francisco and Marin areas and joined Eclipse two seasons ago. After a successful 2015 campaign with the U18 Boys, Zak returns for his third season with Eclipse.
