2 The SA HOCKEY REVOLUTION The current state of hockey in South Africa 1. Thanks to the FIH, hockey is as consumable as it has ever been! The Global Events calender is being revised which can have incredible benefits for South Africa! 2. SuperSport are broadcasting nearly every international FIH event and have signed a renewal deal with Star Sports for the next 4 years We have some of the best schools hockey structures in the world! Participation levels (boys, girls, men & women) are at an all time high! We have come off the back of very successful set of age group IPTs more participants than any other sport. Government have just named SAHA SA Focus Federation of the Year R10m investment + There are a number of further very exciting developments to come from this announcement 5. Our fans are a key target market for SA brands-mid-high LSM, Educated, Gender Neutral. Hockey has more graduates than any other sport at the Olympics. 6. 5 Vision 2022 Vision 2022 recognises that the young players today (15 19 years) will form the core group of the senior national teams for 2020 Olympic Games and 2022 Commonwealth Games. Vision 2022 is about helping our men & women s senior national teams to become medallists at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Durban. Vision 2022 is about building High Perfomance structures that will contribute to competitive participation the Premier Hockey League being a key part of these structures. The PHL Vision & objectives Vision: To create a national hockey competition that transforms the sport in South Africa from an interest, participation & high performance perspective.

8 The PHL Vision & objectives Vision: To create a national hockey competition that transforms the sport in South Africa from an interest, participation & high performance perspective. This will be achieved by initially focusing on the following: 1. Launching a short, sharp & focused event in year 1 to prove the concept to key stakeholders, including potential sponsors. 2. Developing a cost-effective product in year 1 in terms of event costs. 3. Creating a strength versus strength event for BOTH men & women that is aligned to SAHA s high performance objectives around Vision Growing multiple revenue streams in year 2 to ensure sustainability and reduce reliance on government funding. 9 Event: Assumptions Key assumptions for year one (2016) All matches in year one will take place in Joburg. The event will consist of 6 men s and 6 women s teams. The event will take place over 4 consecutive weekends. Matches will be played on Saturday s and Sunday s. Players will be selected via a US-sport style draft system. Teams will be representative of all 9 provinces. The players will be paid to play. 24 The PHL Sustainability Strategy Vision: To develop a PHL that over a 2-3 year period becomes financially sustainable via sponsorship and other commercial revenue sources. This will be achieved by focusing on the following: 1. Acquiring team sponsors for each team initially at very competitive prices but with 3-5 year commitments that escalate 2. Acquire a naming rights sponsor a commercial partner that matches the positioning of the event and which shares the vision of its long term plans. 3. Incorporate all of SA Hockey key suppliers SA Hockey is busy with a process of finalising long term deals with a core group of commercial suppliers. 4.
