On whistle players go to next circle. 5. Forehand Only. Backhand only. Partner Stickhandle. hand only 5. It is important that players maintain a quiet upper body and resist leaning too far forward. The puck must be out in front and off to the side of the body for maximum control. On whistle, players from each end skate out to center, pick up a puck and then go in for shot on net. On next whistle, next players go 5. Keep going until all the pucks are gone 5 Rabbit / oyote. Players partner up one with puck, one without. On coaches signal, the player with puck takes off, trying to lose the chaser. haser tries to catch puck carrier and take puck away. On next whistle, players change roles 0 Forehand Only with Pylon The puck is carried only on the forehand side of the blade, instead of moving the puck to the backhand when going around a pylon. A toe drag is used to keep the puck on the forehand side of the blade. O skates towards blue line, turns and skates between O and O to get a pass from O. -O then takes a shot on net. -Make sure all players get to be skaters and passers.. - players for pylons. -As one player passes puck, the player without the puck, must move to open pylon so that the puck is always with the middle person.. -Pig in the middle players pass puck to each other, while rd player tries to stop the pass. -If player in the middle stops pass, then he / she switches with player who gave up the puck. 0 Relay on / on reate teams/ divide into colours; have two teams compete against one another at each end. Vary skating skills/ patterns each time through; may use pylons for players to skate around. On whistle, first player in each line performs designated skating pattern and races to the spotted puck by the coach. Butterfly slide transition. 0 Skating Evaluation Stations: Divide players in colours. Forward and backward crossovers and pivots facing the net (can do with pucks rd th time through). Players weave through cones with pucks toe drag puck on opposite side of pylon forehand only / backhand only. 5. A. Players transition skate around all four pylons while facing the passers. all for pass and shoot on goal after each pylon; shots total. 6. B. Passers on side of goal pass to shooter. Shooter performs quick moves forehand and backhand; creativity. 5 min each station with rotation on the whistle coaches remain with stations 0 -- on 0.
