4 The Florida Launch will play all seven home games of the 2018 season at FAU Stadium, in Boca Raton. Stadium gates will be open 90 minutes prior to the time of face-off on game day. Tickets Tickets can be purchased online at up until 12 p.m. on the day of the game, or by calling the office at We also have the FAU Stadium Box Office open on game day an hour and a half prior to face-off, where tickets can be purchased. Parking The FAU Stadium parking lots open three hours prior to face-off and general parking is $10 in all lots. Lots for the games are directly south of the Stadium next to the FAU Recreation and Fitness Center off of North University Drive. Handicap parking is located in the parking garage at southwest corner of FAU Stadium also off of North University Drive. Click here for directions. Concessions

5 Cash and credit cards are accepted at the main concession stand on the Delray Hyundai Deck to purchase all the delicious food & drink FAU Stadium has to offer. Auxiliary concession stands with limited offerings, including beer, are located throughout the stadium on the west side of the stands. ATMs are located on the second level of the stadium. 6 The Launch finished with an 8-6 record in 2017, the best in team history. Following their Week 16 win against the Cannons the Launch securing their spot in the organization s first ever playoff appearance. The Launch squared off against the Ohio Machine in the semifinal game, where the Machine won and later went on to win the Steinfeld Trophy. Media Access and MLL Locker Room Policy Media may have access to locker rooms for a period of up to 45 minutes ending 60 minutes before the game. Media wishing to access locker rooms prior to a game must make a request with Allie Modica, who will make arrangements with the team(s). Media is prohibited to access the locker rooms starting 60 minutes before the game and ending no more than ten minutes following the completion of the game. 17 Tom Mariano is entering his second season as head coach of the Florida Launch, and only the second head coach in team history. Last season, Coach Mariano guided the team to their most successful season, earning an 8-6 record and making the organization s first-ever playoff appearance. In his first season, Mariano was recognized by Major League Lacrosse as the 2017 MLL Coach of the Year. Mariano also currently serves as head coach of Pace University, where he was named the 2017 NE-10 Co-Coach of the Year. Last season, with the team, Coach Mariano led Pace to their best season in program history with 12 wins and their first-ever NCAA Tournament playoff berth and a Top 5 ranking. He previously coached at the professional level where he served as an assistant coach for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, and before that he worked as an assistant coach for the Ohio Machine. Before leading the Setters, he had a successful 17 year run as head coach of Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse. As head coach, he led the Pioneers from Division II to Division I as well as overseeing a move from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to the Colonial Athletic Association, and eventually the Northeast Conference. In 2013, he led Sacred Heart to the NEC playoffs which earned him Coach of the Year honors. Mariano holds a Master s Degree in Teaching with a concentration in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University. He graduated from Nazareth College in 1994

18 with a Bachelor s of Science Degree in Business Administration. As a player with Nazareth, he won the 1992 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse National Championship team. As the offensive coach, Duncan is entering his second season with the Florida Launch team after the successful 2017 season. Coach Duncan currently serves as head coach of Flagler College men s lacrosse club as well. Prior to joining the Saints, Duncan served as offensive coordinator for Division II Florida Tech men s lacrosse program. At FIT, he helped the team to a 12-4 record as they finished ranked 15th overall in the USILA Coaches Poll. The Panthers reached the Sunshine State Conference tournament and championship game for the first time in school history. FIT boasted seven all-conference players after their historic run. Before joining FIT, Duncan served as head coach and director of all lacrosse programs at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. Previously, he spent three seasons at Jacksonville University as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the startup program. In just the second year of the program, the Dolphins made the MAAC Final Four in their first year of competitive play. In his

19 longest tenured position, Duncan spent 10 years with the Community College of Baltimore County Essex, where the Knights won the NJCAA National Championship in His title run earned him NJCAA National Coach of the Year honors. As a player, Duncan was a midfielder for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County from Burdick joins the Launch in his second season as the defensive coordinator for Coach Mariano. Coach Burdick currently serves as an assistant for the University of Tampa men's lacrosse program. In his stint with UT, he has helped the Spartans win four consecutive Sunshine State Conference championships. In 2017, Tampa advanced to the NCAA National Semifinals for the third straight season. Prior to UT, Burdick served as head coach of Providence College men s lacrosse program for 14 seasons ( ). After 11 seasons of play in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, he oversaw the transition into the Big East Conference. While in the MAAC, he earned the distinction as the most decorated coach in conference history with more championship teams than any other coach. Under Burdick s tenure, the Friars qualified for nine straight trips to the conference tournament ( ), won four regular season titles (2003, 2005, 2006, and 2008), and claimed the MAAC Championship

20 three times (2004, 2006, and 2007). Before Providence, Burdick served as an assistant for Notre Dame, Delaware, UMass, and Cornell. Outside of coaching, Burdick has served as the president of the MAAC Lacrosse Coaches Association and has been a member of the regional advisory committee for NCAA tournament selection. Matt Dugan retains his role this season in his analytics role. Dugan is currently in his third season as an assistant coach for the University of Tampa men's lacrosse team. He previously served as an assistant Tompkins-Cortland Community College. With TC3 in 2014, Dugan helped the Panthers to a record-setting year and the second playoff berth in school history. Dugan has also held positions at camps with Marist College and Hamilton College. He graduated in 2013 from Marist College with a business-finance degree and was a member of the men's lacrosse team. With the Red Foxes he was a starter for three years and led the team in face-off percentage and ground balls.

21 Tyler is coming in with the Launch as our new Equipment Manager for the 2018 season. Tyler currently plays for the Florida Southern College Men s Lacrosse team in Lakeland, Florida. The sophomore goalkeeper saw action in two games, making four saves and was named to the SSC Commissioner s Honor Roll last season. He is a Jupiter native, having played lacrosse at Jupiter High School in Palm Beach County, and now is pursuing a Sports Management degree at Florida Southern.

22 Dr. Stucken is a Board-Certified, Fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He is the head physician of the Florida Launch. He is a graduate of Cornell University and received his M.D. from the Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship at Boston Medical Center and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Boston University where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Rothman Institute at Jefferson University. There he was team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers professional teams, as well the college teams of St. Joseph s and Villanova. Here in South Florida, he takes care of the Launch as well as local high school athletes.

23 Dr. Eric Shapiro is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Shapiro graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington. Dr. Shapiro received advanced Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine at Tufts University / New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts before joining Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, Inc. in September, 1994.

25 Tim Barber Midfield # lbs September 3, 1994 Syracuse University 3 year pro Hometown: Camillus, N.Y Drafted: 2016 MLL Collegiate Draft - 48th overall pick Barber appeared in eight games for the Denver Outlaws, scoring eight goals and two assists. He tallied a season high four goals against the Rochester Rattlers on May 27. The Launch acquired Barber via trade on June 27. In his first game with the Launch against Boston on 6/3, Barber tallied two goals and one groundball. Against New York on June 24, he also scored one goal and recorded an assist. Barber also acquired two points against Boston on 7/29 with his two goals determining the win for the game.

Scored a goal against Rochester on 4/29. Tallied a goal against the Denver Outlaws (5/13). In the wins against Rochester (5/20) and New York (6/2), Bowes recorded one ground ball each and two ground balls in the contest vs. Chesapeake, July 15. In the 7/22 game against Charlotte, Bowes recorded one ground ball followed by two ground balls in the 7/29 game against Boston.

27 Steven Brooks Midfield # lbs July 30, 1984 Syracuse University 11 year pro Hometown: Libertyville, IL Drafted: 2008 Collegiate Draft by Chicago Acquired: via trade with the Chesapeake Bayhawks in Steven Brooks made his season debut against the Boston Cannons on 4/23 with one goal. Tallied one assist on 4/29 against Rochester. Scored a goal against the Denver Outlaws on 5/13. Scored one goal and his first two-point goal of the season against the Rochester Rattlers (5/20). June 17 against Atlanta, Brooks added one assist and the next game at Charlotte (6/24) he scored one goal in the win. Brooks then scored a hat trick against the Chesapeake Bayhawks on July 15. Brooks recorded one ground ball

28 and a goal in the game on 7/20 against Chesapeake, then scored another goal on the 7/22 game against Charlotte two days later. Scored two goals and tallied two assists accumulating to four points on the 7/29 game against Boston. Connor Buczek Midfield # lbs June 10, 1993 Cornell 4 year pro Hometown: Cincinnati, OH Drafted: 2015 MLL Collegiate Draft - 2nd overall Connor Buczek made his season debut against the Boston Cannons on 4/23 with a two point goal and an assist. Tallied two goals and an assist against the Denver Outlaws (5/13) and the Rochester Rattlers (5/20). In the next game against Ohio, scored one goal, followed by two goals and one goal performances the next two games against New York (6/2 and 6/10). Against Atlanta on June 17, recorded four points by scoring three goals and one assist. June 24 vs. the Charlotte Hounds added another two goals, and in the loss to Atlanta July 1, recorded two ground balls. July 15 vs. Chesapeake, tallied two points off one goal and one assist, to go with a season high four ground balls. Buczek recorded two assists tallying up to two points at the 7/20 game vs. Chesapeake

29 followed by two goals and one assist at the 7/22 game against Charlotte. On 7/29, Buczek accumulated 3 points with his two goals, one 2 point goal, and one ground ball at the game against Boston. Shane Doss Goalie # lbs June 19, 1995 Notre Dame First year pro Hometown: Glen Ridge, NJ Drafted: 2018 Supplemental Draft - 43rd overall Played all four years at Notre Dame. Finished his career ranked 6th in program history for career saves (497). Made a season high 148 saves two times in his career. Doss s junior year he was named a Third Team All-American and followed that up in 2017 by being recognized as a First Team All-American.

30 Ryan Drenner Attack # lbs May 8, 1995 Towson 2 year pro Hometown: Finksburg, MD Drafted: 2017 Collegiate Draft - 28th overall Drenner was drafted 28th overall in the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft. He made his professional debut against the New York Lizards 6/10 with a four point performance, including three goals and one assist. June 24 against the Blaze, tallied one goal and two assists, followed by one assist against the Charlotte Hounds (6/24). On July 1 at Atlanta, Drenner recorded three ground balls and 7/15 vs. Chesapeake scored two goals to go along with one ground ball. On the July 20 game against Chesapeake Drenner recorded one assist along with three ground balls, and scored two goals along with two assists on the July 22 game against Charlotte. Drenner finished off the summer season with one goal and one ground ball on the 7/29 game against Boston.

31 Tucker Durkin Defense # lbs September 5, 1990 Johns Hopkins 6 year pro Hometown: Huntington, PA Drafted: 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft by Charlotte Hounds -3rd overall Tucker Durkin made his season debut against the Boston Cannons on 4/23 with one ground ball. He then recorded one caused turnover against Rochester (5/13) and two ground balls vs. Ohio on May 27. Against New York (6/2) he picked up two ground balls, and then one ground ball and one caused turnover vs. the Charlotte Hounds on June 24. In the game vs. Atlanta on July 1 picked up two ground balls and forced one turnover. Durkin recorded two ground balls and caused one turnover at the 8/12 game against Ohio. Named MLL Defensive Player of the Year. Durkin made Team USA in January 2018 for the 2018 FIL World Championships.

32 Charlie Ford Defense # lbs March 27, 1995 Georgetown First year pro Hometown: San Carlos, CA Drafted: 2018 MLL Supplemental Draft - 79th overall While at Georgetown the Long-stick defenseman was a two-time All Big East selection, and led the team in caused turnovers and groundballs his senior year. Ford accumulated 107 groundballs and 29 caused turnovers in his four years as a Hoya.

33 Austin Kaut Goalie # lbs January 14, 1992 Penn State 5 year pro Hometown: Morton, PA Draft: 2014 MLL Collegiate Draft by Boston Cannons - 19th overall Acquired via trade Austin Kaut made his season debut against the Boston Cannons on 4/23 with 18 saves (36 shots on goal) and 60:39 minutes of play. Analysis from Moneyball Lacrosse : "Kaut was at the top of the league in several statistical categories. He turned away 57.8% of unsettled shots (1st in MLL) and 66.7% of crease dives (1st in MLL).With Kaut in net, the Launch rebounded 78.7% of his saves. Only Charlotte Hounds goalie Charlie Cipriano (79.6%) surrendered fewer rebounds." Had 18 saves (32 shots on goal) against Denver (5/13). Saved 17 shots (25 shots on goal) and saw 65:36 minutes of play against Rochester (5/20). Had a season high 24 saves (40 shots on goal) against Ohio on May 27 and saved 21 shots out of the 31 on goal against New York (6/2). 6/10 made 22 saves (36 shots on goal) while seeing 68:29 minutes in cage against New York. Versus Atlanta (6/17) made 18 saves out of the 34 on cage, followed by a 14 save performance against Charlotte June 24. 7/1 against Atlanta made 17 saves (32 shots on

34 goal) and then 16 saves in the contest against Chesapeake (7/15). Kaut became the League Leader in saves for 2017 (256). Nick Mariano Midfield # lbs May 31, 1995 Syracuse 2 year pro Hometown: Yorktown Heights, NY Draft: 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft - 4th overall Mariano was drafted 4th overall in the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft. He made his professional debut June 2 at New York and recorded two goals. 6/17 against Atlanta scored one goal followed by a one assist, one ground ball performance vs. the Charlotte Hounds (6/24). July 1 tallied one goal at Atlanta and a game high five points (three goals, two assist) and one ground ball against Chesapeake July 15. Mariano recorded one goal and one ground ball on the 8/12 game against Ohio.
