1 Thompson Minor Hockey Association The Mission of the TMHA is to provide participants in our minor ice hockey program with fair and competitive hockey experience that focuses on the development of individual and team hockey skills, the practice of good sportsmanship and fair play and the opportunity to be challenged while having fun. Past President: Steve Hall- No Report VP Admin: Jonathon Wamboldt- Regrets. VP technical: Brad Evenson- No Report Secretary: Jenny Loewen-Cameron - Is able to attend season opener.

2 Treasurer: Nadine Yetman- Regrets Registrar: Eliza Moore- Regrets Publicity/Webmaster: Karen Rea-Cormier - The most recently revised schedule is on the website. - Karen took registration during the week - Karen would like board to consider a late fee for registering players past final registration date. Hockey Development: Mike Scaddan - Coaching clinics dates are confirmed- dates will be posted on website ASAP. On-Ice Officials: Keith Decesco- No Report Ice Operations: Dave Dawson- Regrets Equipment Manager: Adam Uhrina - Received the pucks that were ordered - Got the sticks that were ordered (Pre-Novice goalie sticks) - Had keys made up; will distribute as necessary Tournament Director: Peggy Symons - Will contact Mike Lafreniere about Midget AA provincials, to fill out paper work. Munn Cup: Tami Scaddan Report made by Mike Scaddan. - Invites have sent out for Munn Cup Pre-Novice: Mike Bourgon - Two overage players; they will bring their forms in on Monday - 4 teams will be made - Evaluations are done - Confirming that ice times will remain the same as last year. Novice: Dennis Rathgeber - So far 58 kids are registered - A potential for another 32 kids to register - Sweater situation as is Atom: Devin Richcoon- Report given by Mike Scaddan - Evaluations went well Pee-wee: Kevin Stadnek - Pilot program for try-outs going well.

3 - Atom AA players moving up to Peewee house league. - Peewee house league ice time is not being used, will talk to Dave about that. - Mike Krentz requests refs for Peewee inter-squad games. (3 refs) Bantam: Gina Spence - 19 players - 9 players and 3 goalies at tryouts Midget: Nadine Lafreniere - 23 kids tried out - Brad signed off on AAA North star AP players registered in TMHA. Female: Val Wischnewski - Waiting for a list from the registrar - Will receive lists from Matt of all of the female players - Looking to confirm ESSO fun dates Fundraising Coordinator: Vacant New Business: 1. Bantam Rep Team Program: - Bantam numbers down because of AAA league as well as Bantam female league - Gina will put A and AA players together that way they can go to provincials - Will hold a Bantam parent meeting to discuss the Bantam league - will have a Bantam coaches meeting with Brad - What is decided will be ed to Karen to put on the website -19 paid tryout fees -Norman also concerned about low Bantam numbers 2. Hockey Manitoba Pre-Novice Weekend - received from Darcy Delyea about upcoming Face off Festival -Mike S will look into registering the division for this event. 3.Coaching Clinics - Coach level 1 November 12 th - 8 am 1 hour ice time, 4 hours in class -Coach level 2- November 12 th - 8 am 1 hour ice time, 4 hours in class. - Checking Clinic- November 13 th - 8am 1 hour ice, 4 hours in class. 4.Practice time Policy for Atom AA - Cannot do anything until there is a fundraising coordinator

4 - Brad will Coaches 5.GDI Proposal - forwarded to TMHA from The Rink - Ice instructor will provide 1 class and 1 ice time instruction for $245 (October 29, 2016) -Skate Canada and TMHA will share the cost of air fare and accommodations for instructor to come to Thompson. Fundraising Coordinator - Position needs to be filled 2. Novice Development - Mike S reviewed Novice Development program - Mike proposes that: Novice development team selected off evaluation times. - Perhaps open the Swan River Tournament open up to the house league teams - Once team is selected look for a new tournament to attend - Have the development team coached by 1 coach of each house league team - Additional Ice times - Players will need to pay an additional $125 to cover ice time - Kevin, Jenny, Adam, Matthew and Steve left room Motion: Select the Novice Development team based on Dennis' evaluations to be the top and ties.
