This season we will have Mite through Midget teams in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) as well as Northwest Hockey League (NWHL). Our Midget Major and Midget Minor program will also participate in the National Junior Prospects League (NJPHL). This season we are excited to announce the addition of a Squirt Major Central States Team (CSDHL). Both will be developed through clinics and programs of ice hockey, competition emphasizing sportsmanship, cooperation, self-discipline, self-confidence, individual responsibility and respect for others while experiencing the power of quality hockey. 2 NIHL is the largest youth hockey league in Illinois. Travel League Participation Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) Jaguar Hockey Club is happy to announce that our teams brought home the following banners during the season: Midget Major 2 nd place in the NIHL Blackhawks Tournament, Bantam AA 2 nd place in the NIHL Blackhawks Tournament, PeeWee Silver A Tier 2, Midgets 16U, & Midgets 18U finished in 2 nd place for the NIHL season, Squirt 2 Gold B placed 3 rd in the NIHL Blackhawks Tournament. Teams will participate in local and out of state tournaments. The Jaguar coaching staff and Hockey Director will work together to determine who are the best players for each team. Decisions will be according to talent. Please note that player positions and playing times are at the discretion of coaching staff. Jaguar Hockey teams competing in the NWHL league can travel to any of these teams for game play. We are proud to announce that our PeeWee team brought home a 2nd place banner! NWHL teams will have approximately 1-2 ice touches per week and weekend games. The Jaguar coaching staff and Hockey Director will work together to determine who are the best players for each team. 3 Fall Registration Information Below you will find information regarding Tryouts & Registration USA Hockey Registration Before you register with the Jaguars you must complete your USA Hockey Registration. Please note that last year s number will not work. Any member who registered with USA Hockey on our after April 1, 2018 is eligible for participation from that date through August 31st, Go to 2. Select ICE PLAYERS & COACHES and follow the prompts. 3. The fee is $53 per player. USAH fees are waived for players with birth years 2011 and younger USA Hockey Age Classification Mite 2011 & 2010 Squirt 2009 & 2008 PeeWee 2007 & 2006 Bantam 2005 & 2004 Midgets Checking Clinic All Bantam age skaters are required to attend a checking clinic. You will be given a USA Hockey confirmation number consisting of 9 digits and 5 letters. This number is required to register for the fall season. Please print the confirmation page and keep a copy for your records. 3

5 Fall Fees Once a skater is placed on a team, regular season fees are applied. This year fall fees will include one (1) Tournament. JHC offers the following payment options: 1. Payment of fees in full by check/cash or credit card. A 2% discount will be applies for full CASH/CHECK payments. The 2% discount does not apply to credit card payments. 2. Payment Plan Families have the option to schedule their fall fees over 5 payments. 3. Multi Skater Discount 20% will be taken off the 2nd child and 30% off 3rd. fees. Goalie Discount (Fall Fees) Goalies will receive a 40% discount on their fall fees if they are the only Goalie on the team. If there are two Goalies on the team, each will pay 50% of the skater fees. Jaguar Bash This years bash will be January 25 th, 150 West. This is our most important club-wide fundraiser. This is an adult only event. Each family will receive 2 tickets to the Jaguar Bash. The cost is $60 per family. This is a mandatory cost that will be added to your fees. Rinks JHC will be utilizing 2 rink locations for the Fall Season. These rinks will be Inwood, and Canlan (Romeoville). Please note that practice and games can be scheduled at either location. 6 Tryouts Tryouts will be 8/15-9/8. All dates and times are subject to change due to registration numbers. Please check the Jaguar website frequently before and during tryouts for up-to-date information. It is mandatory that you attend all tryouts sessions for your level. If you are unable to attend a session please contact Greg Stornello or Keri Zschach. Tryouts will be closed to all parents and fans. Closed tryouts allows players to perform to the best of their ability without distractions Teams will be posted within 24 hours after the last tryout. Jaguar coaching staff and the Hockey Director will evaluate all players. Coaching staff and the hockey director will place players at the most beneficial level (team/league) for your child s development. Tryout Fee Tryout fees are due prior to the start of tryouts. If the tryout fee has not been paid the skater will not be allowed to participate or placed on a roster. Any player with an outstanding balance will not be allowed to participate. Please contact Tracy Miranda regarding questions regarding outstanding balances. Refund Policy No refunds will be issued after the first tryout session. No refunds will be issued to players selected for a team who choose not to play. No refunds will be issued for jerseys. No refunds will be issued to players that do not make a travel team unless the Jaguars are unable to field a team at that level in which case a full refund will be issued. 7 FUNDRAISING The Jaguar Hockey Club has carefully selected several highly profitable, individual fundraising opportunities to help offset travel or house hockey fees. Yankee Candles Forms and books will be available at fall tryouts and the product will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Sellers will earn 40% of the total sales. Fantasy Hockey Sweepstakes Tickets will be available at fall tryouts. Sellers will earn 50% profit for each ticket sold. Banners Jaguar Hockey Club offers banner sales as a fundraiser to help reduce player fees. All banner sales need to be received no later than October 21st, Sellers will earn 50% of the banner price purchased. Please see the Jaguar fundraising page on the website for more information. All fundraising credits will be applied toward your FINAL fall payment. The club treasurer will provide a statement reflecting your credits. Questions? 9 Jaguar Midget Program The Jaguar Hockey Club is excited to announce the Jaguar Midget Program for the Fall season. The Jaguar Hockey Club strives to put forth the most competitive level of hockey at the Tier II level at the Midget AA level. Jaguar Midget Major and Minor AA Team Fee: $4450 The Jaguar Midget AA Team will play in the U18/U16 Division of the National Junior Prospects League and the Northern Illinois Hockey League. The AA team will also compete in additional local and out-of-state tournaments, playing at the AA level. Exhibition games will also be scheduled throughout the season. Estimated 55 game count. National Junior Prospects League (NJPHL) website: The NJPHL is a showcase league with a total of 5 showcases - 4 regular season (16 games) & 1 playoffs. Showcase events will include three national events that all teams will attend and two regional events. The goal of the NJPHL is to provide exposure to committed midget hockey players seeking the opportunity to advance their careers to the Junior A and College levels. Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) website: NIHL is the largest youth hockey league in Illinois and offers hockey from Mites through Midgets. The NIHL season at Midget AA will include approx. 18 regular season games and a round robin playoff.
