1 Western Jr Colonials Board of Directors July 12, 2017 Roll Call: Brendan McCollom (Co-President), John Browne (Vice President), Kristen Saumell (Secretary), Cindy Stango (Treasure), John Meade, Bill Garvey, Joe Celiberti, John Meade, Tim Luchsinger Call to Order: 7:15 Topic Discussion Action Approval of Approved Minutes Business from Floor CHC Report Jodi says rink was not yet paid for the CHC tournament. Brendan had Jodi the bill directly to CHC and CC Brendan. CHC to reduce number of games from games as teams were having trouble getting them in. Season will run from mid Sept mid February. Brendan has Jodi working on time slots for games in that time frame Financial Report Cindy is working on the budget. So far there is $116, in checking $18, money market $1,000 Raffle There is nothing outstanding. Nick and Tim were paid and we have Doug and Bobby s check here. Netted profit $18,074 Cindy to make player development account Paying back $13,000 - Can we use for extra development, more tournaments, power skating clinics Cindy to find out how much money we can have in reserves as a non-profit organization Tim and Cindy to keep identifying glitches in

2 Being a nonprofit we cannot hold a lot of money in reserve There may be a certain amount per kid. There are attorneys the meet and do pro-bono work to answer questions for non-profit organizations. Cindy to get information. Can we set up scholarship fund? We can possibly use money raised from the golf tournament. How much money can we carry-over? How much money can we keep in reserves? If we bring in more money, how can we spend it? payment system. Tim motioned to accept, Bill GARvey seconded, all in favor Cindy asked what line items need to be included in the budget: IPH Ice Time Refs Pro Crease Coaches salary Tuition Banquet (and related costs) Tournament Fees Fund raiser Equipment Practice jersey and socks ($15/kid) Administrative costs Stickers Manager meetings PO Box Fees WebSite Fees Try-out fees Storage unit fees June 1-june 1 budget period Clinics: Isabel has been keeping track of who s been attending. There was a system glitch if people didn t pay for power skating, it won t charge your card for tuition. Cindy will / has been identifying the glitches and will have / Tim fix. When receivables get to old hard to collect. We will be staying on top of receivables monthly.

3 Cindy going line by line will give monthly updates 2016/2017 Budget Updates New Uniforms Bantam Enrollment Update Samples: Can we change Tron to Blue (our colors)? Motion to change logo for all teams with maniac on arm for both jerseys. There was no second. Motion to change all logos with different wording Western Select for AA and Western Jr Colonials for the other teams, but to keep the maniac on the sleeve. 1 BOD member opposed, all others voted in favor. Tim will do mock ups with choices and will for a vote. Motion to move forward with the new uniforms for $170 for the complete set contingent upon receiving the $10,000 donation and will having the ability to charge parents a maximum of $60 per player per set if organization to absorb as much of the cost. Kristen seconded the motion, all voted in favor. 13 and 2 goal tenders can use a couple more skaters Mite Major 9 full & 1 mite lite Minor 8 and 1 Squirt Minor: 15 & 1 Squirt Major: 6 & 2 4 pending PeeWee Minor: 15 & 2 PeeWee Major: 13 & 1 (possible goal tender) AA: 13 & total and 5 pending last year finished at 96 Change Tron to Blue BOD voted to change logo. Tim to do mock ups and to BOD for a vote. Board voted in favor of moving forward with the new uniforms IF the $10,000 donation comes in and we can charge the parents a MAXIUM of $60/complete set.

Joe comments on letter ASAP This is open to only Rangers Youth hockey affiliates Level 1,2,3 USA Hockey Certification all in one day We are unofficially a Rangers affliate We will be invited to events Ice 50/50 raffle, largest fund raiser gets to skate with the Rangers, get to go to Ranger s fantasy camp in Terrytown with current rangers Titans finally gave Jodi their schedule in ice time So hopefully will have the scheduling this week Requested an Extra slot on Monday 2 hr slots for AA and Bantam (1.5 hrs each over lap the icetime in middle hour) Bantams do religion on Monday nights Bantams not should not going Monday b/c lower roster and will need to recover mite Monday? Rink wants our mites to follow their mites

5 Camp Camp was a disappointment timing was bad 12 kids 3 goalies all arranged by Tim Handling In the future, the camp cannot be the same week Send out feedback poll Send out feed back poll about the Western Camp Clinics Marketing 16 signed up 14 for session and 6 walk ins paying for itself Jared sending down a new kid as a goalie coach Do we want to do a Pre Season jamboree September 9 th or we can do scrimmages that Saturday for 1 hour Looking into doing different tournaments this year. Rink was upset that all teams left to go to Mass and want us to still pay for our ice time. Possible Tournaments: Can AM, Haunted Shoot Out Maurbourgh Mass, Challenge cup, Jay Peak Oct/Nov, Lake Placid Managers: Mites: Mary Finch Squirt Minor: Cindy Stango Squirt Major: PeeWee Minor: Kristen Saumell PeeWee Major Carolyn Celiberti AA: Bantam: Jerry O Sullivan / Bill G scheduler John Brown Scheduler We may have opportunity to play on the outdoor ice at Citi Field an opportunity only open to affiliates.
