2 All bulls are sold as guaranteed breeders by Balamore Farm Limited. Reserve bids listed in the catalogue are the minimum value at which prospective buyers must start bidding. Bulls with no bids at the reserve will be considered unsold. Why Limousin? The moderate birth weights that are a strength of the Limousin breed translate to more live calves born. Limousins are considered the easiest calving exotic breed, this translates to more vigorous calves. Limousin bulls cross well with Black, Red or White cows. Thick calves consistently top the feeder market the quickest way to get muscle is through Limousin influence. Balamore Farm fattens cattle per year in custom lots in Ontario. The difference in profitability between very good cattle and very thick cattle is $100+ per head. Why Simmental? Simmental cross females are quiet, fertile and heavy milkers. These traits translate into high weaning weights and fewer open cows. Simmental cross cows will bring home heavy, soggy steers that will sell as top notch feeders and heifers that cow calf producers need for herd growth. With our long winter, the Simmental thick haircoat means calves that can stand lots of cold.

With the beef industry enjoying record, all time high prices, a wise investment in a herd sire will pay huge dividends. Why a Balamore Limousin Bull? Balamore is using an intensive AI and embryo program to go with buying the best heifers from the best programs in the country. Improving beef herds through genetic progress is always a goal and we are trying our best to accelerate that process. With AI and embryo transfer, the same Ontario and Western genetics are available here at home. Progressive purebred breeders in the Maritimes need your support to continue their ongoing efforts. Balamore bulls are grown slowly as yearlings, as they approach 2 years of age they can handle a larger group of cows without suffering excessive body loss like a pushed yearling. Balamore bulls are grown on a forage/grain TMR with balanced minerals. All bulls are fall vaccinated with BoviShield Gold FP5 and Ultrabac 7. All the sale bulls were ed on farm for 112 days (November 20, 2103 to march 12, 2014). We believe that thick cattle make the most money. All of our available breeding bulls are on offer today; none are kept at home for our own use. Buyers can be confident that they have access to the best bulls we have. Reserves are in place so that we don t have to protect the bulls by bidding against the customer. Values BW Birth Weight value represents the # of lbs above/below breed average of progeny s birth weight. WW Weaning Weight value represents the # of lbs above/below breed average at weaning. YW Yearling Weight value represents the # of lbs above/below breed average at yearling age. Milk value represents the # of lbs of weaned calf attributed to AWW adjusted weaning weight in lbs at 205 days AYW adjusted yearling weight in lbs at 365 days

We bought this bull to provide thickness, muscling, good temperament, and volume. We are confident his progeny will produce top selling feeder calves for years to come. Sire of Lots 1-3 TMF Landmark 601L Landmark sires thick calves that make terrific bulls and outstanding females. He sold for $63,000 in 2002 and although he is deceased we have some of the last semen available.

5 We will continue to use him as our main AI sire to build an elite cowherd. Sire of Lots 4-6 ATS Polled Ultrasound below is the sire of Ultrasound, Roman Justice Unfortunately we don t have a picture of Ultrasound but his sons are carbon copies of him. Ultrasound was sired by Roman Justice (pictured above) who was one of a handful of breed changing bulls from the early 2000 s. Our main walking bull (Roman Yippy Ki Yeh) is a Justice son purchased from ROMN Limousin in South Dakota in Sire of Lot 7 TMF Westwood 505W

He sold for 54,000 in the Canadian National Limousin Sale in We have purchased several of his heifers this year to go with our home raised Westwoods. 19 Approximately 20 heifers on offer, 19 open and 1 bred. All heifers have been vaccinated with BoviShield Gold and UltraBac 7 last November and have just been vaccinated with LeptoFerm -5. The open heifers have been checked by Fundy Vets as open and OK (functional reproductive tracts). They are 2013 calves and weigh lbs. There is a reserve on these heifers of $1400 per animal, approximately 5% over feeder price. There are 4 Blacks, 8 Reds and 8 Char x. Production data available on sale day.
