2 DIVISION AGE QUALIFICATIONS Lead line 7 & Under as of 1/1/18 4H Walk/Trot & Open 8-18 as of 1/1/18 Has not shown at canter/lope Walk/Trot 4H Beginner 8-18 as of 1/1/18 1st & 2 nd year showing canter/ lope Canter/Lope & Open Beginner Canter/Lope 4H Junior & Open 8-13 as of 1/1/18 Junior 4H Senior & Open as of 1/1/18 Senior Adult 19 & Older as of 1/1/18 4H Small Equine & Open Small Equine 8-18 as of 1/1/18 ALL 4-H PARTICIPANTS MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED 4-H MEMBERS. 1) Walk- trot classes are for the rider who has not shown at the canter/lope at any show. No Green Horses! 2) Walk/Trot riders may not enter a class requiring a canter/lope. 3) Anyone who acts as a leader in the Lead Line division must be at least 16 years of age. 4) You may only ride 1 horse per division. 5) Open riders may not ride in 4-H divisions. You are an Open rider if you are not a currently enrolled 4H member. 6) The show committee reserves the right to combine, cancel or split classes. 7) Return of entry fee only for injury to horse or rider or class cancellation. (with Vet or M.D. note) 8) Classes will not be held except in the event of tack changes, for which the announcer must be alerted 2 classes before the affected class is scheduled. 9) No changing of age division after having ridden in any class. 10) ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR ASTM/SEI approved helmets with chin straps fastened whenever mounted on show grounds. 11) State law requires an annual negative Coggins test and recommends rabies.

3 12) The Judges decisions are final when governing any question or dispute. No one may approach a Judge without receiving permission from the Ring Steward. 13) Tie downs, martingales, dropped nosebands, and easy stops are prohibited except where allowed in Jumping Classes. Proper tack and riding attire required for all classes. 14) Dogs must be leashed and under control, we encourage you to leave your pets at home. 15) Horses must be serviceably sound. 16) Abusive treatment of horses will result in disqualification and /or dismissal from show grounds. 17) Massachusetts 4-H and USEF rules shall apply. 18) Red ribbons shall be tied on the horse tail of known kickers and mares in heat. 19) Horses should be confined to warm up areas and are prohibited from ANNOUNCER AND SECRETARY BOOTH AREAS. 20) NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED ON SHOW GROUNDS.
