Quality Assurance is REQUIRED for any 4-H member, ages 8 and up, enrolled in swine, beef, sheep, dairy, goats, dairy cattle, meat goats, rabbits or market broilers. 4-H members must complete THREE modules per year on the website and have them turned in to the office by June 15th. We are excited to announce that the new QA Curriculum called Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is now active. 1. Register for the LQA online course for 2017 yqca.learngrow.io. (Fee $12) 2. Use your FAMILY 4HOnline login and password information to access the courses for the ACTIVE youth in your family. Only ACTIVE members will show in the drop down menu for access to the course. 3. All registration questions with YQCA should be directed to help@yqca.org. There will not be local support for the YQCA program Hers need to use the 4-H tab (not the FFA tab even if they are members of both organizations.) 5. Forgotten password? There is a button for families that have forgotten their password Hers that had started their QA training in the LQA site will be able to complete their modules and print off their certificate of completion and take it to their Extension Office. 7. The YQCA site is user friendly and should make it easy for 4-H families to complete their QA training for this year. Paper tests are available at the Extension Office for intermediate and senior level 4-H members to test out of their QA age level requirements. These tests must be completed at the office and require an 80% passing score. Extension Educators and field specialists will teach the 2 - day courses. Cost for the course is $60, which includes all materials, lunch and breaks, for both days. Registration is requested a week prior to class. The 4-H Council is paying a yearly fee to be able to provide these for all 4-H clubs in Lincoln County. Reservations should be made through the Extension office at least 7 days ahead of time. Each club/group that uses the fairgrounds is required to complete a service project at the fairgrounds and help with the 4-H Councils annual fundraiser, the food stand during county fair.
