Lots of options to chose from to create a unique experience for 4-H clubs! Check out the list of available trunks and contact the office to reserve one! Animal Ownership Forms All 4-H members who have enrolled in a live animal project (beef-dairy-goats-horse-pets-poultry-rabbits-sheep-swine) are required to complete and turn in an animal ownership form for each species in which they are en-rolled. These completed forms need to be in the Extension Office no later than May 15. You may drop them off at the office (courthouse, Ellendale), send them (Dickey County 4-H, PO Box 40, Ellendale, ND 58436), (shirlene.wagner@ndsu.edu) or fax ( ) to the office. Be sure to get this done in order to avoid a premium penalty at fair time. We ask you to enroll so we can keep 4-H members up to date on all the activates happening in the county and state! All enrollments are done online via the 4hOnline process found at: - Remember if you are a returning member you already have a profile, you will just need to reactivate it and enter the projects fort his year. New members will also need to enroll on this program. Instructions can also be found at this site. Contact the office with any questions! You must be enrolled before you can participate in any county contests or events where judging occurs. MARCH The Carrol House, Fullerton 5pm Please attend we will be discussing upcoming events Dickey County Communication Arts The 4-H Communication Arts program: Helps participants develop communication skills that are useful throughout a lifetime; Provides participants an opportunity to practice their skills before a group; Provides participants an opportunity to gather and organize information, equipment and props for public presentation; develop participants' confidence in making public presentations; and Evaluates and enhance communication skills. 5 State News Citizenship Washington Focus County registration lists and deposit for the 2018 delegation to Citizenship Washington Focus are due March 1. This year we going to be attending CWF July 1-7. Cost to delegates/county is $ per delegate. Registration form is on the 4-H web page: dership_opportunities/citizenship_washington_focus_cw f/ North Dakota State Crop Show Enter the 4-H Division, FFA Division, or Open Division Top blue ribbon entries in each division advance to the Championship Division Enter two quarts of wheat, durum, oats, barley, sunflower, rye, peas, lentils, beans, corn, and seeds of similar size. Enter one quart of flax, canola, grasses, small seeded legumes, millet, and seeds of similar size. Enter ten ears of corn.premiums of $5 for blue, $3 for red, $1 for white ribbon exhibits. 4H and FFA lot champions receive additional $10 premium. Championship division premiums are $10 to $100 paid for top 4 to 6 entries. Champion exhibitor in each lot receives a trophy with part of the actual grain sample included. All exhibitors are eligible for a $100 bonus drawing sponsored by Central Plains Ag. Four winners will be selected with at least two awarded to first time exhibitors. Camp dates have just been released. Make sure to take a look at all the awesome camps that will be available over the summer at 4-H camp in Washburn. Remember you can receive a (1) 100$ scholarship from the Dickey County 4-H council to attend a contest, camp or state event. 7 Congratulations to the Dickey County Hippology Team! They placed 3rd in Intermediates at the Southeast Judging Classic.

8 Congratulations to the Dickey County Livestock Judging Team! The team participated in the National Western Stock Show in Denver where they placed 12th high team out of 31. They placed 11th overall team in reasons. Kadey Holm was 7th in Swine, Reed was 11th in Swine, the team was 5th in Swine overall. They have worked hard, way to go guys!.
