4 Welcome... Welcome to our second Annual Ballarat Bull Selection Day on property at Clarkes Hill. The offering consists of 23 beautiful Black Angus bulls, who boast an impressive set of numbers with ideal pedigrees. They are the result of collaboration with Kelly Angus to produce an outstanding line of bull calves by GAR Sunrise and TCA Visionary 158, along with Ayrvale Hercules H9, and GAR Method. The AI sire selection started back in 2014 on a Paringa trip to the USA, where we first identified feature sires; TCA Visionary and GAR Sunrise. The dams of these sale bulls are elite Lawsons Angus bred; interestingly the lineage of these females dates back to pre-2006 when Tom was at the forefront of breeding decisions at Lawsons Angus. Those who know him would agree Tom has the unique ability to reel off history on these bulls pedigees going back to their great grand dams in the 1970s and 80s at Ythanbrae. Due to demand from customers, we are also offering at Ballarat this year 10 cracking black Stabilizer bulls. They are some of the highest ranked composite bulls in the world; we know this because they are ranked on a global database with 1.5 million others. You will note, all but one Stabilizer in this sale are ranked in the top 1% worldwide for $Profit Index; the only index that analyses multi breed data, including the highly heritable feed efficiency. You will see in these bulls, that the Stabilizer herd made up of cleverly designed breed combinations, has blended well with this year s reference sires TCA Visionary, GAR Sunrise, Apollo, and Moneymaker L809. 5 Sale Information SALE DATE AND PRIOR INSPECTION Selling will commence at 11am, on Thursday 18th October, Bulls may be inspected from 10am on the morning of the sale, or at another time by arrangement with the agents or vendors. SELLING SYSTEM Sale of animals will be conducted by private selection. Please register with the selling agents to obtain a buyers number if you are considering making a purchase. Successful purchasers are requested to give written advice to the selling agents regarding transport arrangements at the conclusion of the sale. PHONE BIDDING Please contact selling agents or vendors to make arrangements prior to sale day. REBATE A 2% rebate to all outside agents who attend the sale with buyers or register introduction in writing 24 hours PRIOR to the sale. GST All animals are sold exclusive of GST. INSURANCE All due care is taken in the delivery of the animals purchased however buyers are responsible for the insurance of animals against injury or death from the fall of the hammer. Insurance is available on the day or arrangements can be made prior to the sale. We strongly recommend taking out insurance on bulls for the first 6 months and especially during joining. DELIVERY Deliveries can be organized by the vendor or the purchaser but please advise the selling agents of your requirements on sale day on buyer sheet including full contact details. Delivery is at the cost of the purchaser. Please note: No transport is permitted during the sale process. BULL GUARANTEE All breeding cattle bred by Paringa are fertile and structurally sound to the best of our knowledge. must lodge an application in writing within 12 months of purchase, provide a full veterinary report, photos and in some cases an inspection by the vendor. This guarantee is in addition to normal terms and conditions governing auction sales and, as such the vendor s decision will be final. Paringa Livestock Genetics Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse a guarantee in some cases. Also please be aware Paringa is not liable for genetic defects, either current or future. BREED SOCIETY TRANSFERS Ownership transfer of the animals will be organized by the vendors, please ensure for stud buyers, accurate transferee details are supplied at time of buyer registration. There is no obligation for commercial buyers to transfer animals. HEALTH & PHYSICAL EXAMINATION All animals have had the following health treatments: Bulls have been ear notched and are tested PI free Bull vaccinations up to date including Pestigard, Vibrio Vaccination & 7 in 1 Drenched with Eclipse Pour On Access to mineral licks and Pasture Please note: Foot trimming has not been performed on any animal. Bulls have been handled with Quad Bikes, dogs and horses. INDEPENDENTLY ASSESSED On the 6/7/2018 sale bulls were independently structurally assessed and measured for scrotal and temperament by Jim Green. Sale bulls have passed strict criteria on temperament, structure and weight for age, with scrotal palpations. Raw weights and scrotals available on sale day. JOHNES STATUS Paringa Livestock is accredited J-BAS 8 (Johne s Beef Assurance Score 8). Animals are eligible to go to all States and Territories.
