All horses from Queensland & NSW should be vaccinated against Hendra virus (>2 months & <6 months prior to this event), and must be able to provide proof of vaccination certificate if asked. 2. All horses must be free from disease to the best of the owner/rider s knowledge. Because of this, a separate Horse Event Entry form must be completed for each rider, irrespective of age. Multiple horses can be entered using the specific event entry sections of this form Please Note: We are happy to refund event entry and camping fees if a rider or horse needs to withdraw before the weekend, so there is no need to hold off entering until close to the date. 3 Rules and Conditions of Entry Competitors must be experienced and accomplished riders with appropriately trained and fit horses capable of undertaking the conditions of all 5 phases of the event. 2. A rider may compete on more than one horse as long as no other competitor is riding the same horse during the competition at any level. 3. Competitors may enter more than one horse, but must enter all horses at the same level of competition, if entries are exceedingly high, a restriction may apply. Each additional horse will be charged full entry fee. 4. Riders competing in the junior section must be a minimum of 10 years old on the day and not more than 16 years old at the start of the competition. 5. Competitors choosing to enter the encourage section are not eligible for the Open or Intermediate event & vice versa. Entries in this section will be at the discretion of the committee. 6. High Point Registered Horse Awards Horses much be nominated at the time of entry. A copy of the horse s full registration papers in the appropriate association /society must accompany the entry form. 7. Riders must nominate at time of entry for the high point Local Junior, Lady or Gent (Resident of the Tatiara). 8. The expected dress code must be worn for the entire program and will be comprised of Collared shirt with sleeves (Jacket and tie for Dry Pattern optional) Approved safety helmet and footwear must be worn for all events Moleskins, jeans or jodhpurs will be accepted. 9. Any horse considered to be acting in a dangerous manner will be warned by the committee in the first instance and then disqualified if it continues to act in a dangerous manner. 10. Stallions must be ridden and handled by an adult (over 18 yrs) and tied up with both halter and neck strap (double tied). 11. Snaffle bits only to be used no curb chains. 12. Horses must wear a bit, no bosals or halters will be allowed. 13. No head checks, tie downs, martingales, running reins, nose bands or riding whips will be allowed. 14. The same saddlery must be used for the entire five sections of the event, leg protection for horses and spurs at rider discretion. 15. Competitors must complete the program as set by the committee. 16. No alcohol to be consumed whilst competing or prior to completion of the day s events. 17. No unrestrained dogs allowed. 18. All competitors enter at their own risk with no responsibility accepted by the organizing committee for riders, livestock or property. 19. All decisions made by the judge are final. 20. In the event of a protest it must be made in writing to the section convenor and lodged within 15 minutes of completion of the event. Such complaints to be accompanied by a fee of $50, which will be forfeited if the protest is deemed frivolous. 21. 4 Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse sport activities at the Moot Yang Gunya Festival & Mundulla Show, I, the undersigned, understand, acknowledge and accept that: Horse sports are a dangerous activity and horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt; There is significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities; I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind-altering drugs and agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs, prohibited by law, before or during any horse sport activities; I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and that any misconduct or refusal by me to comply with any direction of any organiser or official can result in the CANCELLATION of my participation in the activities and my immediate removal from my horse NO MATTER where that may occur; I agree to wear an approved helmet at all times whilst participating in the sport where this is required under the relevant EFS and FEI rules and regulations; I agree to allow my photo to be taken and published in publications relating to the Mundulla Show and Moot Yang Gunya Festival: My horse(s) has/have had all relevant vaccinations and, to the best of my knowledge, are fit and well and able to participate in this event: I have had sufficient opportunity to read this Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement and fully understand its terms and sign it freely and voluntarily, as forming part of the conditions of entry. 5 Moot Yang Gunya Festival & Mundulla Show Terms & Conditions For Camping (if relevant) 1. Any person intending to stay on the grounds overnight must pay a camping fee ($10 / vehicle) to the Show Society. 2. All vehicles camping overnight on the showgrounds are required to display a camping sticker in the front left hand corner of the windscreen. 3. All power cords must be tested and tagged (6 or 12 months in accordance with AS/NZS 3000:2000 Electrical Installations). An electrician will be available on the showgrounds on Saturday morning for testing and tagging, for a fee to be paid by the site holder. Extension cords are to be a maximum length of 50 metres. 4. Gas cooking facilities in all caravans, fl oats, trucks require suitable fire extinguishers to be tested and tagged, prior to arrival (eg CO2, water, chemical). 5. All gas bottles: to be in good condition and less than 10 years old to be outside the vehicle/structure not to block any exit on a level non combustible surface secured in an upright position in a well ventilated location with safety relief valve facing away from vehicle/structure in a clear area from ignition sources 6. No star droppers to be used anywhere on the Show Grounds at any time 7. Contravention of any of the conditions may mean removal from the showgrounds.
