Cassie and Team Texas will compete at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships in Nebraska this June. Congratulations to Alexis Hargrove! 3 Spring Major Livestock Show Entry Week November 6th 9th at the Hill County Extension Office. Tuesday, November 6th the office will be open until 6:00pm This includes: Texas Elite Showcase, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo, Houston and Austin. Ricochet is an adventure-based leadership development program created specifically for middle-school age youth. The ultimate goals for Ricochet are for youth to realize that anyone can be a leader and to see themselves as leaders in their own community. The curriculum follows three stages of leadership Awareness Interaction Mastery. Ricochet 1, Ricochet 2 and Ricochet 3 correlate to each of those stages. Five Dimensions of Leadership are addressed in each unit: Leadership Information, Leadership Attitudes, Communication Skills, Decision Making and Stress Management. This is a 100 clay Trap event for all age classes. The event is scheduled for November 17th at San Antonio Gun Club near downtown San Antonio. Any registered 4-H Club member may register for this event using i-clays at tournament_signup.cgi? tournament_id=6882&nsca_id=0 Cost is $65 per a shooter (100 clays Trap). There is an optional Fun Shoot for Adults and Shooters for an additional $20 per shooter. Awards will be given for the top 6 shooters, high lady and top 6 shooters in each age class per lewis class. There will be door prizes for those who stay for awards. Lunch will be available along with a snack bar. What better way to start your shooting season? And as a certified 4-H shoot, all your new club members will be eligible for the S.A.L.E. Junior Shoot-out. We look forward to seeing you all out there.
