The 2019 San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo will be February 1 ST February 17, The 87 th annual rodeo parade will be Saturday 02/02/19 at 10:00 a.m., and will be televised on KLST/KSAN TV. The deadline will be 01/14/19 or the first 100 entries, whichever comes first. Please complete the enclosed 3 forms and submit as soon as possible. Instructions for the parade line up, judging, & route are attached. There will be awards distributed for first, second, and third place! SEE BELOW PARADE RULES: No decorated cars or pickups will be allowed as individual entries. They may be used as tow vehicles only. All float participants must ride on the float for safety reasons, no one will be allowed to walk along the parade route. NO EXCEPTIONS! All drivers must have a valid driver s license in order to participate in the parade. Nothing may be thrown, handed out, sold, given away or otherwise distributed from any parade entry during the parade, or along the parade route. Floats displaying the American flag must do so in a respectful manner and must be sure it is secured at all times. The committee and management of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association have the right to disqualify any person that does not follow the rules given in this notice, and will be asked to leave the parade route to ensure the safety of the public and the parade participants. PLEASE NOTE: A policy regarding political entries has been established by the Board of Directors as follows: Political slogans and banners of any kind will not be permitted in the parade. Only elected officials invited by the association will be allowed to participate as dignitaries in the parade. Please contact our office at (325) with any questions or concerns. 2 PARADE LINE UP AND ROUTE: FLOAT ENTRY LINE UP INSTRUCTIONS: All parade participants must be in line and in place by 7:45 a.m. sharp. The judging will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and the parade will start at 10:00 a.m. Floats will enter from South Bryant (Koenigheim St.) onto Santa Fe Park Drive/River Drive, and line up on the NORTH side (left) of Santa Fe Park Drive. Only vehicles pulling floats will be allowed in this area. Participants need to be dropped off and picked up in the vicinity of the Santa Fe Golf Course restrooms. Santa Fe Park Drive is listed as River Drive on some city maps. We want everyone to have an opportunity to be included in the one hour time slot of televised air time. PLEASE STAY CONSISTENT with the flow and speed of the parade by staying one car length (or feet) behind the entry/float in front of you. We want to avoid large gaps in between entries! They can arise in an incalculable variety of unforeseeable or foreseeable ways. These risks may include (as examples, but not necessarily as a complete list) the following: the presence and use of horses and other animals, motor vehicles, machinery, firearms, floats, baton twirling, wind, rain, hail, and other forces of the element. Complications associated with weather conditions may also include other threats such as the possibility of slipping/falling, physical exertion such as heat stroke, fainting, collapse, exhaustion, or other more serious complications.
