1 Tulsa State Fair in Full Swing Fall: synonymous with color changes, pumpin spice everything, and it also means that fair season is in full swing. This year, we took 89 projects to Tulsa to be exhibited and judged in the 4-H and FFA building. Out of the 89 exhibits we took, over 22 placed in the top six in their respective categories.in addition to all of these exihibts, many members are also exhibiting livestock, and participating in multiple contests. 4-H members in Kay County have been anxiously awaiting this time of year. They have worked countless hours preparing their projects, attending day camps to prepare themselves, and learning new ways to improve on their skills. So far, that hard work is paying off, big time. Several Kay County exhibitors won first place with their exhibits, multiple second place finishes, and many others that placed as well. The Tulsa State Fair is just getting started and for the next two weeks youth from all over Oklahoma will have the opportunity to participate. Whether it be in the Exhibits hall, the show ring, or the carnival rides, TSF has something for all ages! If you have never been to the Tulsa State Fair, make sure to get over there before October 9th to see how your fellow 4- H members participated this year. If you would like to know more about how to participate in the Tulsa State Fair next year, give Morgan a call. Congratulations to Austin Grossardt, Ethan Vap, Nolan Overman, and Wyatt Miller on their 1 st place 4-H exhibits at the Tulsa State Fair!
