3 D C F Double Creek Farms Mike & Barbara Domel P.O. Box 766 Meridian, TX Matt s cell Mike s cell Welcome to Texas and the Double Creek Farms 13th Annual Bull Sale. This winter, temperatures dropped to 5-6 degrees and demolished our oats. Then we had an outstanding, although very short and wet, spring. Spring was followed by four months of drought with continuous days of 100+ degrees up to degrees. Despite what the politicians tell us, that s Texas weather! You will find no soggy fat bulls here, just good quality bulls raised in central Texas. Our bulls will compare with any other breeder in Texas or the United States. If you are looking for growth, carcass or $Values, we have the bulls to suit your needs. You will not find a set of over fat pen raised bulls. We raise our bulls to be gentle with good muscle expression. The bulls are raised with a hands on approach to keep the bulls as gentle as possible. The bulls are raised on pasture and hand fed a high roughage ration to enhance the longevity of the bull s service life. We often see our bulls in service for 6-8 years or more, and we like that! Calving problems from any bull in this sale when bred to your cows will absolutely not be an issue. We have found that pasture conditions and protein intake often have as much to do with birth weight of calves as genetics. Use the EPD data to choose bulls for breeding virgin heifers, but any and all will be problem-free for use on cows. I have rated the low birth weight bulls with a star rating. The more stars, the lower the projected birth weight. If you have specific questions about bulls, please call me or Matthew. Come see our new sale facility at the farm in Clifton, TX. Sincerely, Mike Domel Bull Sales-Matthew Domel
