5 ******************* TEHAMA COUNTY NEEDS YOUR HELP TO FUND THE COUNTY S 2012 STATE FAIR EXHIBIT! The County of Tehama s Administrative Office sponsors and coordinates the County s entry in the California State Fair s County Exhibits competition. This competition provides an excellent marketing opportunity to reach families from all parts of California and beyond. It involves nearly all California counties, occupies two buildings at Cal Expo during the Fair, and is seen by hundreds of thousands of fairgoers each year. At the close of the State Fair, the exhibit is brought to Red Bluff for display at the Tehama District Fair. Tehama County s 2011 State Fair Exhibit Tehama County s 2010 State Fair Exhbiit The Exhibit promotes the County and seeks to draw not only visitors, but new business to our area to create jobs and stimulate the local economy. Historically, the display contractor s fee has been paid with a combination of County general funds and cash contributions from local organizations and businesses. Budget constraints have severely limited the amount the County can expend on this project; and although outside monies have been committed to fund the 2012 State Fair Exhibit, they still fall short of the amount needed. We are seeking additional sources of funding that will allow Tehama County s continued participation in this exhibition. Please consider contributing to this project. We need approximately $4,000 by January 15, 2012, to fund the 2012 exhibit. Any amount you can contribute would be appreciated.
