3 BEEF CATTLE The Cattle Judging Rings have been kindly Sponsored by ASDA The Showground will be open for the acceptance of animals from 11am on Saturday 9th July unless a special arrangement has been made in advance. Animals entered in the Beef Cattle classes must be in the Showground by 4pm on Monday 11th July. All animals must remain in the Showground until 4pm on Thursday, 14th July. Prize money may be forfeited by any Exhibitor not parading (if required) or leaving before the time stated above. This is a provisional timetable and may be subject to change. Stalls in each breed can be booked for calves (maximum of two calves in a stall, priced per stall at 33 for Members or 46 for Non Members). STALL FEES Members (inc. VAT) Non Members (inc. VAT) Beef Stall booking must be received in the Livestock & Entries Dept before 5.00pm Tuesday 17th May. Any stall cancellations must be received in writing (fax, or post) in the Livestock & Entries Dept by 5pm on Friday, 17th June, for stall refunds to be paid. VAT) Full details of each individual Beef entry, pairs/group entry must be received in the Livestock & Entries Dept before 5.00pm Tuesday 17th May. Any number of entries can be made but entry fees will only be returned for veterinary reasons. Substitutions can be made until 5pm Tuesday 24th May; changes must be made in writing/ /fax and confirmation of receipt must be obtained from the office. 4 BEEF SHORTHORN The UK Beef Shorthorn Championships will be held at this year s Show. This section is run in accordance with the rules of the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society and the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. See Reg. 66. The Beef Shorthorn Society is offering the Mohmar Trophy and cash prize of 1000, kindly sponsored by Highland Wagyu, to the exhibitor gaining the highest total of points from all of the qualifying shows throughout The Qualifying shows are the Royal Ulster Show, The Royal Highland Show, The UK Beef Shorthorn Championships at the Great Yorkshire Show, and the Royal Welsh Show. 7 ABERDEEN ANGUS These classes have been kindly sponsored by A B Contract Services This year, we are hosting the Aberdeen Angus National Show and therefore the stall restriction has been removed for this breed. Please Note: Any class with insufficient entries may be combined and likewise, any class with very large entries forward, may be split. This section is run in accordance with the rules of the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society and Yorkshire Agricultural Society. The use of blacking or any other colouring matter on Aberdeen Angus cattle is prohibited and the Judge is instructed to disqualify any animals so coloured. See Reg. 66.
