2 1. Marshmallow Burn. Morning Games Patrols are supposed to make a fire and burn the marshmallow, which is on the bent wire hanger, until it drops off. They are to build, light, and tend a fire until it burns through the marshmallow suspended about 12 above the pit. The Patrol will be charged time with each match that is used Fires may not be raised off the ground. Once the kindling is successfully lit, no further kindling may be added Time the event after the signal to begin. Use a stopwatch or a watch with a secondhand. 3 2. Draggin the Wagon. Each Patrol is a team. They will be given a pile of supplies to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. After a starting signal, the patrol has to make a wagon out of the materials given. Then they must bring all their supplies in one trip to a designated safe zone. Patrols must bring all supplies in one trip. The entire Patrol must participate. Time the event after the signal to begin. Use a stopwatch or a watch with a secondhand. 4 3. Rope a Zombie Each member of the patrol is given lasso. On a signal, the patrol members must throw the lassos around a Zombie upon roping with at least three lassos they will pull on the ropes to lift the Zombie off the ground. And move it to a safe zone. Patrol members must stand at least 15 feet from the Zombie Each Patrol member gets 3 attempts to throw rope onto the zombie. The group must stay behind the line. Record the time of the event.. 5 4. Tomahawk Throw at Zombie Creatures Each Scout in the Patrol will take a turn at throwing 3 tomahawks at a target. After a safety briefing, each Scout in the Patrol will take a turn at throwing 3 tomahawks at a target. Record the average score of the Patrol (total score divided by the number of members in the Patrol), for a maximum of 30 points for 3 bulls-eyes. Subtract 5 points for each safety violation. 6 5. Brain Flip (Pancake Flip) The first Patrol member mixes pre-measured pancake mix with water, and pours batter onto skillet. Once the pancake is cooked, the second Patrol member will pick-up the pancake with a spatula and flip once back onto the spatula; continue with other Patrol members, one at a time. The entire Patrol must participate. Record the average time for all members to complete the event (total time divided by the number of members in the Patrol). (per station) Skillet. 7 6. Rescue Zombie Onslaught Victims On a signal, each patrol must transport a Patrol member in a stretcher built of poles and blankets over a 30 course and return. Patrols start behind a start line. Time starts at the judge's signal and ends when the patrol has completed building the stretcher behind the start/finish line, placed their patient (a patrol member) on it, carried him out 30' around a stake and back to the start/finish line. Judges may make a patrol rebuild their stretcher if it looks unsafe (i.e. the "patient" may fall through/out of it). Rebuild time counts against total clock is running. 8 7. Triage Victims One member of each patrol will be given first aid for 3 wounds/injuries: head wound, arm wound and leg wound. Each Patrol must treat their injured member following proper wilderness first aid protocol. Each patrol will treat the three wounds using proper first aid. Points for proper treatment of each wound and being able to articulate details. First Aid supplies bandages, gauze, tri-angle bandages, first aid tape fake blood and other first aid make-up 7

9 8. Knot Relay Each Scout in the Patrol will tie one of several knots; each Patrol member will cycle through until all seven knots are attempted. Each Patrol will line up behind a designated line from which an individual patrol member will step forward to the tying area. A particular usage of a knot will be described to the Patrol member as written in the Scout Handbook. After which, the Patrol member will have to properly tie the correct knot that matches that description with the proper materials. Each Patrol member will cycle through to the tying area until all 7 knots have been successfully tied, or 9 minutes have elapsed. All Patrol members must participate. Each Patrol member must either successfully tie the assigned knot, or spend 1 minute trying to correctly tie the knot before giving up. 10 9. Trebuchet (Catapult) Each Patrol will conduct offensive assault upon the Zombie Menace. Scouts will have 3 chances to hit the targets. Maintain safe distances from all moving parts of the equipment. There will be a blood circle established around the equipment and all scouts are responsible for keeping a safe distance away when launching. Points are earned when hitting the targets. There will be a time limit of 5 minutes to accomplish the task. Trebuchet Ammo (Rotten fruit and vegetables) Giant targets 9

11 10. Can Shootin (Shooting Gallery) 5 cans are set on table with point values on note cards on the outside. Using Nerf gun with six bullets, scouts must shoot and knock the can to the ground thus gaining points. No pointing guns at any individuals. Patrol will receive a 25% deduction of their total score for each incident. Each scout in the patrol will have 5 rounds. Total score based on targets hit.
