2 The Stampeders Foundation is a community and charitable initiative dedicated to improving the lives of Calgarians and Albertans in both Central and Southern Alberta. The Stampeders Foundation consolidates and strengthens the club s many charitable endeavours, enabling the organization to build upon its long-standing commitment to the community. Through the annual Stampeders poker tournament, 50/50 ticket sales at Stampeders home games and other fundraising initiatives, the Foundation supports grassroots and amateur football programs and education as well as health and wellness projects. The entire Stampeders organization takes great pride in giving back to the community. The players annually contribute hundreds of hours of their time, while the Outriders cheer team last season completed more than 2,000 hours of community service and charitable work. MANDATE The Stampeders Foundation is fully committed to the support of amateur and grassroots football in Calgary and Southern Alberta communities. In addition to promoting access to all levels of football, the Stampeders Foundation is proud to support a number of health initiatives through player involvement and in-game programming. Since 2012 the Stampeders Foundation has donated over $1.5 million to support football programming in Southern Alberta. 4 IN THE COMMUNITY The Calgary Stampeders support many local charities around the city. Last year, the Calgary Stampeders spent over 1,000 hours giving back to these and many other local not for profits. CALGARY STAMPEDERS 50/50 PROGRAM Through the sales of 50/50 tickets at Calgary Stampeders home games, players from the Calgary Colts & Calgary Bantam have the opportunity to raise funds for their teams. Last year the Stampeders Foundation distributed over $190,000 to the Calgary Colts & Calgary Bantams through the 50/50 program. CALGARY FALCONS In the summer of 2016, the Calgary Falcons Football Association had their storage pod and all of their football equipment stolen. The Stampeders Foundation donated $27,631 to assist the team with replacing items that were necessary for their season to continue. KIDSPORT The Calgary Stampeders have a long-standing relationship with KidSport and have partnered on many successful initiatives. Last year the Stampeders Foundation donated $25,000 to KidSport, which helped 164 kids get involved in football.

5 CALGARY BANTAM FOOTBALL $ 117,560 ASSOCIATION The Stampeders Foundation presented the Calgary Bantam Football Association with a cheque in the amount of $117,560. The Calgary Bantam Football Association is made up of 13 teams throughout Calgary and the proceeds go towards the administration and operational costs of running their football programs in the city.

6 CALGARY COLTS JUNIOR FOOTBALL $ 72,000 This past season, the Stampeders Foundation donated $72,000 to the Calgary Colts Junior Football Association, which is part of the Canadian Junior Football Association and plays in the Prairie Football Conference. The donation was directed towards the Colts administration and operational costs associated with a junior football program.

7 CALGARY DINOS $ 40,000 FOOTBALL The Stampeders Foundation presented the University of Calgary Dinos football club with a donation in the amount of $40,000 in This contribution assists the Dinos with the operating costs of running a premier post-secondary football program. The Calgary Dinos have consistently been one of the nation s highest ranked teams in the Canada West division of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Football. JOHN FORZANI ENDOWMENT FUND $ The Stampeders Foundation also donated $100,000 to the John Forzani Memorial Athletic Awards Endowment, which helps support awards for students that are members of the Dinos football team. 100,000

8 CALGARY HIGH SCHOOL $ 25,000 FOOTBALL In 2016, the Stampeders Foundation provided the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (C.S.H.S.A.A.) a cheque in the amount of $25,000, which helped to pay for the operational costs of running high school football programs in Calgary. One of the significant features of Calgary high school football is preferred playing venues such as Shouldice Park and McMahon Stadium, which are made affordable due in part to this contribution. The Stampeders Foundation also supports varsity coaches with quality game film and assistance from the team s equipment supervisor and coaching staff. The C.S.H.S.A.A. is made up of 40 high school junior and senior football teams throughout the City of Calgary.

9 PINK POWER On October 15, 2016 the Calgary Stampeder Football Club partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society in the execution of PinkPower, a tremendous fundraiser for women s cancer awareness. Pink themed Calgary Stampeders merchandise was sold at McMahon Stadium during the game, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. As a result of this program in 2016, the Calgary Stampeders issued a cheque in the amount of $50,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. $ 50,000

10 JR. STAMPS CAMP Jr. Stamps Camp is a unique event where kids in Central and Southern Alberta can learn what it takes to become a Calgary Stampeder. The club s rookie players along with president and general manager John Hufnagel and head coach Dave Dickenson set up a series of fun football drills for kids to participate in. They also have the opportunity to get player autographs and a meet and greet with Ralph the Dog. This event helps raise funds for minor football and awareness for KidSport.

11 $ 90,000 STAMPEDERS AMBASSADORS CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENT The second annual Stampeders Ambassadors Charity Poker Tournament took place on October 24, 2016 at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino which raised $90,000 for the Stampeders Foundation. Registration for this annual event is open to the public with each poker table featuring an exclusive member of the Calgary Stampeders. This year 15 Stampeders players were in attendance, including notable names such as Bo Levi Mitchell, Charleston Hughes and Alex Singleton. Various members of the coaching staff were also in attendance, including head coach Dave Dickenson and president and general manager, John Hufnagel.
