2 ** REMINDERS** ALL 4-H members participating at the 2017 Frio County Jr. Livestock Show, rd MUST be passing their 3 six weeks. ALL 4-H Members MUST also be in good standing according to their club s bylaws. (Example: Club Meeting Attendance) **NO PASS, NO PLAY** GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! *** THANK YOU NOTES To receive your check, you MUST write Thank You notes to each buyer. Please hand write these notes, and include a picture or interesting information about your project. No typed Thank You notes will be accepted! Turn in all thank you s to the Frio Co. Extension Office. Once the checks are ready, you will receive your check. The Livestock Show Board receives 7% of all money received by the youth. Please do not anticipate checks to be issued before May 15, 2017 FRIO COUNTY LIVESTOCK SHOW DUTIES 2017 Restrooms: Dilley 4-H Showbarn Trash: Pearsall 4-H Parking Lot Trash: Dilley FFA Auction Set-Up: Pearsall FFA Auction Take Down: Maverick 4-H DRESS CODE Exhibitors are required to wear a collared shirt that is tucked in and will stay tucked in during SIFT, SHOW, & SALE. No shorts or t-shirts allowed.. Wearing any type of advertisement for alcohol, tobacco or any other vice is strictly prohibited. Not following the dress code will be grounds for disqualification. FCJLS OUTSTANDING EXHIBITOR AWARD This is a perpetual award to be given annually at the stock show to a graduating senior exhibitor in memory of Gracen R. Gulick. Gracen loved the stock show and looked forward to it every year. It is in his memory that this award is given. The award is based on character, not performance, at the stock show. The 6 pillars of character include: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. There are two different types of attitude: Sportsmanship (About exhibiting livestock with honor governed with high standards of integrity and ethics)and Gamesmanship (all about winning for gain and glory at the expense of others) this award will be given annually to a true sportsman. APPLICANT MUST SIGN UP FOR THIS AWARD DURING SHOWMANSHIP SIGN - IN TIME ON THURSDAY BETWEEN 6PM - 8PM AT THAT TIME, THE EXHIBITOR WILL BE GIVEN A SHORT INTERVIEW BY THE COMMITTEE 1) The recipient must be a graduating high school senior th (12 grade). 2) The individual must have exhibited an animal at the stock show either current or past year(s). 3) Academic grades will not be considered. 4) Other awards, animal placing or showmanship will not be counted toward this prize. 5) The individual will be given credit if he/she completes the Quality Counts Program. 6) The individual must demonstrate outstanding courtesy, helpfulness and support during stock show or preparation for the stock show. 7) The name of the winner will not be announced until presentation of the award. 8) The recipient of the award will be selected by a committee appointed by the Frio County Board of Directors. AWARD: *Trophy to be displayed by the winner for one year then returned to the stock show. Winner is responsible for adding his/her name to the trophy. Contact Creative Awards, Fredericksburg, Tx.
