2 2016 The One Simmental Sale Monday, January 18, 2016 Denver, Colorado The 2016 The One Simmental Sale Vol. XXIII was held at the National Western Stock Show in the Stockyard Auction Arena, Denver, Colorado on Monday, January 18th. The auction kicked off with the selection of the Power Simmental. The winning ticket was Jerry Adamson of Nebraska with the opportunity to make his selection from 4 bulls or 4 females. His selection was tag 41 HPF Sazerac 305C from Hudson Pines Farms. The Power Simmental sponsors are Purina Animal Nutrtition & Eberspacher Ent Inc. Jerry takes the heifer home and Hudson Pines takes home $10,000. Next for the auction was the heifer donation for the American Simmental Foundation to support AJSA scholarships. This year, the heifer came from Shoal Creek Land & Cattle, Ed & Kathi Rule along with their crew of J.R & Crystal Richburg and Scott Akey. This daughter of SC Antoinette R52 was purchased by a group of prominent breeders that believe in the future of our youth: They include Sanders Ranch, Owen Brothers Cattle CO, The Gathering Sale, Eberspacher Ent Inc., Hudson Pines Farm, 102 River Ridge Simmental, Gerdes Show Cattle, Long Simmental, C-Mor Beef, Ferguson Show Cattle, Missouri Jr. Association, Ruby Cattle CO, JS Simmental, Gonsior Simmental, Tom Bros Simmental, Buddy Robertson, MO Simmental Assoc & Ozark Empire Fair Foundation, Shoal Creek Land & Cattle and Grindstone Creek Farm. The total gathered was $20,000. The group offered this female back to resell and the gavel fell at $4,000 to HTP Simmentals and Hill Top Simmentals. Before a full house and record number of viewers on liveauctions.tv, 11 genetics lots averaged $5,545 while 45 live lots averaged $14,750.
