Sale Location: The cattle will be on display at the sale site held at the Exhibition Center on the Campus of the College of Southern Idaho, Twin Falls, Idaho. Exhibition Center phone number is , Ext Inspection of Cattle: All cattle will be in place and available for your inspection at any time after 3:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, Health: All cattle will be accompanied by appropriate health papers for immediate shipment. All females are official Brucellosis vaccinated. Grading and Sifting: Every bull selling has been pre-sale graded and sifted for soundness and quality so you are assured that only the finest bulls will sell. Refreshments: Food plus hot and cold drinks will be available at the Exhibition Center at the College of Southern Idaho. Updated EPDs: As EPDs are updated every Friday by the American Angus Association, the EPDs in the catalog may vary slightly due to the time between the catalog being produced and sale day. Internet Bidding: For the convenience of those not able to attend the sale this year, online bidding is available on LiveAuctions.tv. Semen Tested: Every bull selling has been semen tested and is guaranteed to be fertile. Trucking: The Idaho Angus Association will assist you in making trucking arrangements. 22 4-H/FFA Judging Contest Winners Earn Credit for Heifer Purchases The Idaho Angus Association is interested in promoting the Angus breed among its junior members. On Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, the Idaho Angus Association is cooperating with the 4-H and FFA leaders of the state to make Angus classes available for a judging contest. Winners of the contest will receive credits from the Idaho Angus Association toward the purchase of heifers in the 2016 Gem State Classic Sale. At the annual banquet, Idaho Junior Angus Association Scholarship recipients are recognized Gem State Classic Female Award winner at the the Idaho Junior Beef Expo was Braydyn Atwood of Bliss. He purchased his heifer from Zabel Cattle Co., Kuna, Idaho, at the 2016 Gem State Classic Bull and Female Sale. 66th Annual Gem State Classic The Glenn Schutte Memorial Award was presented to Mackenzie Malson of Parma, who owned the Overall Angus Female at the Idaho Junior Beef Expo. This award is in memory of past president and long-time IAA supporter, Glenn Schutte. The Idaho Angus Association also sponsors state carcass awards.
