Join us for lunch, starting at 11 am. Bulls are current on vaccinations and parasite control. Consult your veterinarian for future needs. All bulls have been tested PI BVD negative. Bulls are ear tagged according to lot number and are freeze branded to match their registration certificates. Shelton Angus, Dogwood Farm, and Locust Level will retain 1/3 semen interest in all bulls selling. This will affect very few, if any, of the bulls selling. Should we decide to collect semen in the future it would be at your convenience and our expense. The buyer of each bull owns 100% of possession and 100% of salvage value. Volume discounts: 3% on 3 or more bulls, 5% on 5 or more. The EPD s represented in this catalog were current at the time of printing. EPD s are updated weekly by the American Angus Association and may change in the future. DD Carriers are noted by their registration numbers. All bulls are free of all other known recessive conditions at this time. Cattle sell under the standard Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association as revised by the Virginia Angus Association. (See guarantee in back.) All cattle are to be settled for on sale day unless previous arrangements have been made. Ratios for BW, WW, RE and IMF are from in herd contemporaries. YW ratios are calculated from the entire test group. Bulls may remain at G & E Performance Test Center for one week following sale at no charge. Longer arrangements must be made with George Winn. 3 Welcome to the Shelton Angus Dogwood Farm Locust Level Fall Sale at G&E Farms here in Gretna, Virginia. This years sale may seem like something new, but to the contrary it is something old. Our cow herds have been developed on similar genetic philosophies and managed in similar environmental conditions. Our bulls are tested and measured in the same contemporary groups and now, once again, they will be offered to you on one day, at one location, in one auction. We are very proud of the bulls we have to offer and feel there is a diverse selection that will meet most any needs. An impressive group of spring yearling bulls is an exciting addition to this sale as well as a small but very select group of registered females. The open fall yearling heifers are very exciting from a genetic potential standout. Visit our website, to view video of the sale offering. The video should be on the site around November 10 th. Almost all of the bulls have been genomically tested with the Zoetis 50K DNA test. This enhances the EPD Accuracy of these young bulls to the level of having progeny records for each trait.
