2 A message from the Chairman/CEO of the PBR: Dear Friends, What a year we re having at the PBR! Six BFTS events set new attendance records in the first half of the season. We secured a long term commitment with CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network to be the exclusive television home of the PBR on broadcast and cable. The PBR continues to grow by leaps and bounds, making bull riding the most exciting sport on dirt not only in the United States, but also in Canada, Mexico, Australia and Brazil. PBR Turns 21 during the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, NV. Be sure to join us in October as we celebrate this special time. The top 35 bull riders in the world will be competing for a chance to win $1,000,000 and the right to call themself the PBR World Champion Bull Rider. You also don t want to miss Bushwacker s final performances before he retires from competition. It is the culmination of a 26 stop, year-long journey that started at the "World's Most Famous Arena" Madison Square Garden in New York City. You have a chance to be a part of the excitement of the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. Since it s inception, the PBR has hosted/supported a variety of charitable organizations and activities. The recipient charities have varied throughout the years to allow a deeper reach into the PBR community. This year we will host the PBR Charity Golf Classic at Rhodes Ranch Golf Club with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada as our beneficiary charity. Candlelighters provides support, education, hope and advocacy through programs and services for children and adolescents with cancer, their families and the professionals who care for them. 8 Your Support Benefits: CANDLELIGHTERS CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION OF NEVADA Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada (Candlelighters) is the first and oldest non-profit organization in Nevada serving families coping with childhood cancer. Located in Las Vegas, the organization was founded in 1978 by two families who each had a child being treated for cancer. The founders believed families could find strength, knowledge and comfort by banding together; they believed no one should face this cruel disease alone. For more than thirty five years, our mission has been to provide support, education, hope and advocacy through programs and services for children and adolescents with cancer, their families and the professionals who care for them. Our purpose is to alleviate the isolation many families feel at the time their child is diagnosed with cancer and provide access to financial resources, advocacy services and guidance to ensure their ability to focus on the most important element of cancer treatment - their child s survival. Candlelighters identifies and addresses the needs that affect nearly every diagnosed child and their family as they pass through the different stages of the disease and cancer treatment. Services are continuous and are provided over the course of a child s diagnosis, treatment, recovery, potential relapse, residual medical problems due to treatment, and, in some cases, death and bereavement. Candlelighters works with approximately 125 families during any given month, serving as many as 600 children, including siblings, each year. Two thirds of the families in our programs come from minority backgrounds. 12 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals Ticket Information PBR BUILT FORD TOUGH SERIES WORLD FINALS 2014 marks the 21 st Anniversary of the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. The World Finals is the culmination of a year long quest by the Top 35 bull riders in the world to be named the PBR World Champion and claim a One Million Dollar Bonus. The Built Ford Tough Series starts in January at the famed Madison Square Garden arena in New York City and crisscrosses the nation at 26 events before culminating each October in Las Vegas at UNLV s Thomas & Mack Center.
