You will create your 4-H resume and become more familiar in developing your interviewing skills with commonly asked questions and answers, along with learning about interview attire and exactly what judges want from you. 604 Sew Beneficial: "Sew Beneficial" is a project created by Raisa Niederhelman to connect youth and elderly individuals through sewing. While workshop participants learn or improve their sewing skills, they create tactile activity aprons for elderly members of the community, specifically those with dementia in nursing homes. Youth Classes (5-13 year olds) Intermediate Youth Track Int Youth don t have to be in Leaderton to be a ton of leaders. In this full day workshop, intermediates will improve communication skills, learn more about professional development, and gain confidence. Participants will be placed in a country that is faced with a major problem: a Martian invasion is about to occur and they need to make sure their country is safe from destruction. The "Martian Invasion" frame story will be used to give participants a memorable scenario in which they can utilize the skills being taught. (For youth ages 11-13) Clover/Junior Aged Track CJ Join the Carroll County 4-H Ambassador Team as they work with Clover and Junior 4-H Members in providing an exciting day full of activities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about different project areas that they can participate in from making crafts, lost arts, home environment and much more! The day will be filled with making projects and playing games. During the day an age appropriate movie will be shown to provide a break for participants. (For youth ages 5-10) The University of Maryland Extension is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Equal Access Programs
