Consultant Brian MacKinley and myself could not decide which would make the best show heifer/junior prospect for you so I will let you make your choice. Simply, the highest bidder chooses the one he/she wants to show and I will take the other one home to show as a yearling next year. Both calves are sired by our senior herd bull - Bonshaw Young Freedom 67T - an embryo we purchased from Barry Young (Youngdale Angus) from his super cow Pat Lady Sandra 2C and sired by TC Freedom 104. The dams of these two heifers are both Western bred. Both have been successful in the show ring, are very good milkers, have good dispositions and are easy keeping cows. Preg checked safe in calf approximately 4-5 months. Comments: On offer is a quality bred, halter broke heifer. She is big and stout, has a good pedigree, nice disposition and good conformation, and is in calf. Her sire is a bull co-owned by Miller Wilson Angus and Grant Hirsche of Alberta, who have both used Commander in their herds. The dam is a Western bred cow going back to the cow we purchased from Lee Brown - LLB Angus in Alberta. This heifer s mother is a heavy-milking brood cow that brings in one of the best calves in the herd each year. Chicklet has just been on grass all summer was brought into the barn just 2 weeks ago to re-introduce her to grain and to the halter.
