1 MARKET LIVESTOCK SALE 4-H and FFA exhibitors of market livestock are entitled to sell ONE large market animal through the Asotin County Fair 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction Sale on Saturday at 4:30 PM. To be eligible for the sale, all animals must have been weighed and tagged at the of-ficial weigh-in. Each Exhibitor MUST be present with their animal at the sale. Exceptions only with Fair Board s authorization. Required Sale Weights Weight Grade Steers 1050 lbs minimum Select or better Hogs lbs No 3 or better with a maximum payout weight for the livestock auction of 280 lbs Lambs 90 lbs minimum Good or better (lambs must be under 10 months of age) Goats 70 lbs minimum STATE BRAND REGULATION A certificate of permit for hauling cattle must be made out before leaving home. Cattle with the brand of the previous owner must also have a bill of sale signed by the previous owner. The certificates of permit and bills of sale will be given to the weigh master at the scales at the final weigh in. ASOTIN COUNTY FAIR 4-H and FFA MARKET LIVESTOCK SALE RULES 1. A currently enrolled Asotin County 4-H or FFA member may exhibit ONE market animal. The exhibitor must bring only one animal to the Official Fair Weigh-in. An exhibitor may exhibit a second animal in breeding classes. Species limitation does not include rabbits, poultry or horses. If animal is not a tagged market animal, it will not be weighed. 2. Scales will remain open to exhibitors until 8pm Wednesday, and re-open at 12pm Thursday for Official Fair Weigh-in. 3. NO market animals will be stalled prior to Official Fair Weigh-in. 4. A WSU Health Record Form (Quality Assurance Form) must be submitted (signed and properly completed) by all 4-H and FFA market beef, market goat, market sheep and market swine exhibitors at the time that they weigh in their animal on Thursday afternoon. Individuals that do not have a com-pleted Health Record Form will not be able to sell their animal through the livestock auction. The Official Fair (FINAL) Weigh-in will be between 12:00 and 6:00 PM on Thursday of fair week. 5. Scale weight, if not disputed, will be final. If disputed, a chance for reweigh will be done immediately. The animal will be removed from scale, the scale will be balanced, and the animal will be immediately put back on scale for final reweigh. 6. A slip with exhibitor s name and animal s weight will be available at the scales.

2 7. Sales committee will not help in securing buyers, but is responsible for: a. Securing support price b. Auctioneers c. Securing trucking d. Bookkeeping e. Clerking f. Photographs for folder g. Sales accounts h. Proofreading sale order i. Withholding trucking fees when needed j. Supervising, handling and loading of sale animals Sunday after 4:30 PM. 4PM IS THE OFFICIAL CLOSE OF THE FAIR. Exhibitors are responsible for their projects up until 4 PM. Tack removal from 4 4:30 PM is permitted but cleaning is not to be done until Monday after 5:00! Although animals will be marked we will do our best to start loading from an FFA area. All exhibitors must be out of barns by 4:30 Sunday, with load-out of animals immediately following. Leave stall cards in place. 8. 1% will be withheld from sale animals for casualty fund. The limit on the casualty fund will equal 5% of the previous 3 year average sale gross. Anything over this amount will be used for sale improvement. The casualty fund will pay support price plus $100 of animals not covered by exhibitor s insurance in the event of a casualty of a sale animal that occurs after the animal has been sold through the sale and prior to the animal leaving the fairgrounds on Sunday. All exhibitors are strongly urged to purchase livestock liability insurance for their animals. Market value will be determined by the auction support price for goats, sheep, hogs and beef. Rabbits and chickens will not be included as there is no support price offered at the auction. In case of buyer s default of payment for livestock purchased or individual participant support at the sale, funds may be transferred from the casualty fund to recover the loss, upon removal of the sales committee after Official Weigh-In is complete. 9. 3% will be withheld annually for the sale promotion upon approval of the 4-H & FFA Livestock Leaders and the Asotin County Fair Board. 10. Brand Inspection: Actual cost per head for Brand Inspection will be responsibility of seller of market steers. (See State Brand Regulation paragraph above.) 11. Sale animal hauling fee will be held from exhibitor s checks when required. 12. Terms of Sale: Cash-terms 30 days, 1% pencil shrink on lambs, 3% pencil shrink on steers. No shrink on hogs 13. Sale order will be made from live placing of animals by barn superintendents and with cooperation of Extension office; and be submitted to the sales committee on Friday immedi-ately following completion of the market class. 14. The Sales Committee, with input from the fair board, has final say on all animals that go through the sale. The president of the Sales Committee has final say on any changes in sale order. The Sales Committee has the right to refuse any bid. Subject to Fair Rules & Regulations. 15. No deformed, injured or cryptorchid animals will be sold. A licensed veterinarian will give his signed decision on paper. 16. Support price bids deadline is 1:00 PM on Saturday, bids to be opened at sales office. Bidders welcome at bid opening.

3 17. Animals will be sold in the following order: rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, beef, and hogs. 18. Barn Superintendent will be responsible for getting animals in sale ring. 19. All halters and safety chains (neck ropes) are to be left on steers until they are loaded out. 20. Loading will be done by the Sales Committee, the barn superintendents, and their designated help immediately following removal of tack at 4:30 PM. 21. Beef project owners MUST have a hauling slip and a Bill of Sale before the animal goes on the scale at final weigh-in. 22. Animals exceeding maximum weight at first weigh-in will not be tagged. 23. Animals sold at the Market Sale will be held on the Fairgrounds until close of Fair on Sunday. The seller/exhibitor will be financially responsible for the animal and its care until it is loaded on the buyer s truck. 24. ONLY OFFICIALLY TAGGED ANIMALS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MARKET SALE. Animals exceeding maximum weight at first weigh-in will not be tagged or able to sell at livestock auction. 25. All market livestock will be weighed and tagged on their respective dates as follows: a. 8:00 9:30 AM - Market steers (3 maximum) will be weighed and tagged with an official ear tag in the right ear on the first Saturday of December. Maximum weight at first weigh-in is 1000 pounds.* b. 8:00 9:00 AM - Market hogs (3 maximum) will be weighed and tagged with an official ear tag in the right ear on or before the fourth Saturday of January. Maximum weight at first weigh-in is 125 pounds.* c. 8:00 11:00 AM - Market lambs and goats (3 maximum) will be weighed and tagged with an official ear tag in the right ear on the forth Saturday. Maximum weight at first weigh-in is 110 pounds for lambs. Goat maximum weight at first weigh-in is 80 pounds. **Animal weights that exceed maximum weight limits will not be tagged and will not be weighed again at the official fair weigh-in. 26. All market animals not making minimum weight requirements at the Official Final Weigh-in at the fair on the Saturday closest to 60 days prior to the current year s fair final weigh-in date will be retagged in the left ear at that time. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS Q-Fever is a bacterial organism commonly shed by sheep, goats, and cattle. Goats and sheep in the last 14 days of pregnancy, and female goat and sheep are most likely to be shedding this organism. This disease is communicable to humans. Female goats and sheep within the last 14 days of pregnancy, and 14 days following the birth of live or dead lambs/kids are not allowed to be exhibited at the Asotin County Fair. 1. Washington livestock requires no vaccinations or tests for entry. 2. Individual health certificates for animals are not required for entry.

4 3. Weigh in veterinarians (chosen by the Sales Committee) may inspect all classes of livestock and poultry (including horses, pet animals, fur-bearing animals, pigeons, ducks, geese and turkeys), before they are exhibited, to determine that the livestock and poultry are free from infectious or contagious disease and ectoparasites. 4. Weigh in veterinarians MUST and WILL reject any animals with infectious or contagious disease or ectoparasites. Exhibitors should be aware that RINGWORM, WARTS, PINKEYE, STRANGLES, CONTAGIOUS ECTHYMA, SCABIES, LICE, MITES, TICKS AND FLEAS fall into these categories. 5. No animals from a quarantined area or premise will be permitted to enter any fair. 6. ALL OUT-OF-STATE ENTRIES must comply with the State of Washington import regulations. A health certificate must be issued by an accredited veterinarian from the state of origin for all out-ofstate livestock and poultry entries. 7. Only upon a veterinarian s and a barn superintendent s approval shall tranquilizers, antibiotics, etc., be used or administered by a vet on market animals. 8. The Asotin County Fair requires all female sheep and goats and all intact male sheep and goats to have official USDA National Scrapie Eradication program-assigned flock identi-fication available during vet check-in. This may include either a tag, tattoo, or microchip (with reader provided by exhibitor). Veterinarians will not allow unmarked animals through vet check. 9. All open class, 4-H and FFA goats shall not have any horns. This includes all breeds. No goat with horns will be allowed to show at the Asotin County Fair. Horns must be removed before the fair. DEPARTMENT 100: 4-H AND FFA LIVESTOCK Refer to 4-H/ FFA General Rules and Regulations. All exhibitors must be appropriately dressed when fitting and showing, exhib-iting or selling their animals. The following dress code WILL be strictly enforced: Jeans or slacks with a LONG sleeve shirt or blouse that is tucked in and a jacket if needed. Shirts and blouses are to be buttoned to within 1 or 2 buttons from the top. Boots are HIGHLY recommended, but clean, heavy athletic shoes that are laced to the top and tied or a similar leather shoe can be substituted. NO hats are to be worn while showing NO EXCEPTIONS. All clothing should be clean and in good repair. Jewelry is discouraged; it can be dangerous. LARGE ANIMAL SCIENCES Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Goats LIVESTOCK CONTESTS LIVESTOCK FITTING AND SHOWING CONTEST Points allowed: Blue 100 Red 75 White 50 The purpose of the livestock fitting and showing contest is to create more interest and better knowledge of fitting, training, handling, and showing livestock. Breed, type, and conformation are not considered. The exhibitor must do all training and preparation of the animal prior to and during the show. All 4-H and FFA members carrying livestock projects MUST enter this contest. Past winners are not excluded. Each exhibitor MUST show their own animal. A trophy and rosette will be given to the Grand Champion Showman and a rosette to the Reserve Champion Showman in each 4-H and FFA division in lots 1-5. Top overall 4-H and FFA Showman will receive a belt buckle and rosette and will compete in the Large Animal Round Robin contest for Top Overall Showman. 4-H shows first in

5 even years followed by FFA. Swine fitting and showing will begin at 8:00 AM. Sheep followed by Goat livestock fitting and showing will start at 9:00 AM., Beef fitting and showing will begin at 11:00 AM. Saturday morning of fair. The Large Animal Round Robin fitting and showing will begin on Sunday at 8:30 AM. Fleshing or Condition 10 Points Total points 100 Points LARGE ANIMAL ROUND ROBIN GUIDELINES Sunday 8:30 AM Beef Arena 1. The Grand Champion Fitting & Showing winner from 4-H and FFA from each market livestock species (beef, swine, sheep, horse & goat) will compete in the Large Animal Round Robin. 2. The Superintendents will choose the animals to be used in the Round Robin. 3. Each contestant will show each species of livestock listed in guideline one. 4. All contestants will be assigned a number for identification by the judge. 5. Contestants will be scored on their ability to show each of the livestock species and their knowledge of those animals. They will be scored on a scale of 1 (low ability) to 10 (outstanding ability). 6. The contestant with the top score will be the winner. In the case of a tie, judges will conference and immediately break the tie. LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST Pre-entry not required for this contest Points allowed: Blue-50 Red-35 White-20 All contestants compete on an individual basis. Each contestant shall place, according to his judgment, classes of beef, swine and sheep. Contestants will not be permitted to confer with anyone except as directed by the group leader. CLASS H Lot 1 4-H Lot 2 4-H Intermediate Juniors Lot 3 4-H Seniors CLASS 106 FFA Lot 1 FFA Contestants must judge all classes to receive a premium.

6 *Additional points will be awarded to the top five individuals in each lot: 1 st nd rd th th - 20 Belt buckles will be given to the top 4-H and FFA all around judge and belt buckles to the top 4-H and FFA judge in each age division and species. Awards are awarded to Asotin County youths. If a tie should occur in a species, it will be determined at the coordinator s discretion. MEATS JUDGING CONTEST Pre-entry not required for this contest Points allowed: Blue-50 Red-35 White-20 The Meats Evaluation CDE objectives are for students to develop the ability to: a. become knowledgeable consumers of meat and meat animal products and/or involved in the industry of meat animal market-ing and merchandising. b. Broaden analytical skills, critical thinking strategies and an understanding of appropriate meat terminology. c. Evaluate meat animal products in order to optimize econom-ic returns to producers and industry as well as to meet the needs of the consumer. d. Develop good cooperation and communication skills in working together to accomplish a goal. CLASS H Lot 1 4-H Juniors Lot 3 4-H Seniors Lot 2 4-H Intermediate CLASS 108 FFA Lot 4 FFA 9 & 10 Lot 5 FFA 11 & 12 Contestants must judge all classes to receive a premium. FFA Banners awarded for top three teams. A belt buckle will be award to the top 4-H/FFA meats judge from Asotin County. 4-H & FFA LIVESTOCK HERDSMANSHIP CONTEST Pre-entry not required for this class. The purpose of the herdsmanship contest is to encourage exhibitors to care for livestock, pens and equipment properly and keep stalls and animals clean and attractive at all times. Competition will be on a club or chapter basis. Two independent judges will examine the livestock exhibits at least once daily. Their score will be totaled and averaged. The exhibits will be judged on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Scores will be posted daily at a designated area in each barn. Final awards will be based on total of daily scores of each division and will be awarded Sunday afternoon. In addition to each club or chapter s exhibit area, each club/ chapter will be designated an area of the barn (e.g. wash rack, show arena, barn entrance, etc.) by the barn superintendent which must be kept neat and clean. These designated areas are also judged. Basis for scoring Points 1. Animals 35 Points Arrangements, tying, cleanliness and grooming, bedding regu-larity of feeding and watering. 2. Stalls and pens 35 Points Orderliness of equipment and supplies, neatness and cleanli-ness of designated area during fair and post fair. 3. Educational effect 10 Points

7 Posters and stall cards are legible/complete; 4-H or FFA identification. To be scored and judged one time only. 4. Exhibitors 20 Points Appearance, attitude, courtesy, skill. NOTE: ALL WORK TO BE DONE BY EXHIBITORS! Adult help is prohibited. Violation will result in forfeit of points. CARCASS CONTEST CLASS 109 Pre-entry not required for this context Lot 1 Beef Animals must have been judged in the Market Steer class at the fair. All beef carcasses that are available to be judged will be evaluated according to carcass evaluation criteria set forth by WSU Extension. A belt buckle will be awarded to the Top Overall Beef Carcass. The Asotin County Cattlemen s Association will award $50.00 to the top Steer of Merit Beef Carcass, and $25.00 to the remaining Steer of Merit winners. GAIN CONTEST CLASS 110 Pre-entry not required for this contest All sale animals must be weighed and tagged at the Official First Weigh-in: (1) Steers on the first Saturday of December, (2) Swine on the fourth Saturday of January (3) Lambs & goats on the fourth Saturday of February OR a date which makes the days on feed closest to 60 days for lambs and goats. The Official Final Weigh-in will be on Thursday, the week of fair, from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. The final placing will be determined on the average daily gain (Total pounds of gain divided by days on feed.) 8 ASOTIN COUNTY CATTLEMEN S BEEF RATE OF GAIN CONTEST CLASS 111 Pre-entry not required for this contest This contest is open to any 4-H or FFA member who exhibits a steer in Class 112 (Market Steer) or Class 113 (Underweight Steer). A resident of Asotin County who is a current member of the Asotin County Cattlemen s Association MUST raise this steer, or the steer must have been purchased from a current member of the Asotin County Cattlemen s Association. The winner will be determined by the highest average daily gain from the Official First Weigh-in, in December, to the Official Final Fair Weigh-in. *$30.00, $20.00 & $10.00 respectively will be paid to the top 3 places by Asotin County Cattleman s Assoc. A plaque will be awarded to the winner. CATTLE Refer to 4-H/ FFA General Rules and Regulations All cattle must be double tied when in the barn. Only de-horned or naturally polled market steers will be eligible to show. Any steers having horns over two inches long, from the skin at the base of the horn to the tip, will be disqualified. Straight-bred dairy steers, stags, and cryptorchids are not eligible. An exhibitor may exhibit only one market steer in either Class 112 or Class 113. An exhibitor may exhibit only one heifer and/or one cow-calf pair in Class 114. Class 115 entries must be comprised of animals already exhibited in Classes 112,113 and 114 only. If there are more cattle entered than there is pen space, the Beef Superintendent and the General Livestock Superintendent will have the right to impose a limit on the number of exhibits shown per exhibitor in Classes 112, 113, 114 and 115. Exhibitors will be notified of said limitation at least one week prior to the fair. MARKET STEERS CLASS LOT 1 Points allowed: Blue-100; Red-75; White-50 Steers must have been owned and cared for by the exhibitor since the first Saturday of December. Steers will be awarded ribbons for quality as follows: BLUE Choice; RED Select; WHITE Standard or Below. Minimum weight-1050 lbs.; no maximum. Steers to be divided into classes by weight by the Beef Superintendent. Classes not to exceed 10 steers per class. All steers must be officially tagged. A belt buckle and rosette will be given to the Grand Champion and a trophy and rosette to the Reserve Cham-pion in the market class. Lot 1 Market Steer UNDERWEIGHT MARKET STEERS CLASS 113 Points allowed: Blue 75; Red 50; White 35 The superintendent will enter steers that meet all requirements of Class 111, Market Steers, except the minimum weight require-ment, in this class. Lot 1 Underweight Market Steer BEEF BREEDING CATTLE CLASS 114 Points allowed: Blue 100; Red 75; White 50

9 All beef-breeding cattle, except the 4-H or FFA rotational cow proj-ect, must have been owned and cared for by the exhibitor since the first Saturday of December. Breeding Certificates must be on file at the Extension Office 90 days prior to fair. The cows or heifers must be double-tied when in the barn; the calf may be loose in the pen. Each exhibitor will be allowed a total of two premiums in this class, provided they are from different lots. A picture plaque and a rosette will be given to the top in each lot. A rosette will be given for reserve champion in each lot. The Asotin County Cattlemen s Association will award $50 to the champions and $30 to the reserve champions. Lot 1 Heifer calf, age 6 months to 1 year Lot 2 Heifer over 1 year and under 2 years Lot 3 Cow calf pair (calf must be the natural calf and under 9 months old) BREEDING CATTLE HERD CLASS 115 Points allowed: Blue 100; Red 75; White 50 All breeding stock must have been owned and cared for by the exhibitor since the first Saturday of December. Exhibitor must own breeding herd cow for at least one year prior to April Fair. Breeding Certificates must be on file at the Extension Office 90 days prior to fair. Exhibitor must have records displayed show-ing sire, dam, breeder and average daily rate of gain for one year on calves. A picture plaque and rosette for the Champion heard and a rosette for reserve heard will be awarded. Lot 1 Breeding Herd One cow, calf over 1 year but less than 2 years, calf under 1 year. Need not be related to each other. Limit one herd per exhibitor. DAIRY CATTLE CLASS 116 Points allowed: Blue 100; Red 75; White 50 Dairy cattle must have been owned and cared for by exhibitor since the first Saturday of December. Breeding Certificates must be on file at the Extension Office 90 days prior to fair. Each exhibitor will be allowed a total of two entries/premiums in this class, provided they are from two different lots. Lot 1 Heifer under 1 year Lot 2 Yearling heifer (over 1 yr. and under 2 yrs old) Lot 3 Dairy cow (over 2 yrs and under 3 yrs old) Lot 4 Dairy cow (over 3 yrs and under 5 yrs old) BREEDING DAIRY HERD CLASS 117 Points allowed: Blue 100; Red 75; White 50 Breeding herd cow must be owned by exhibitor for at least one year prior to April Fair. All breeding stock must be owned by exhibitor as of the first Saturday of December. Breeding Certificates must be on file at the Extension Office 90 days prior to fair. Exhibitor must have records displayed showing sire, dam, breeder and average daily rate of milk production. Entries must come from Class 116. Lot 1 Breeding Dairy Herd One cow, yearling heifer over 1 yr but less than 2 yrs, heifer calf under 1 yr. Need not be related to each other. SWINE

10 If there are more swine entered than there is available pen spaces, the Fair Board will have the right to impose a limit on the number of exhibits shown per exhibitor in Classes 123 and 125. Exhibitors will be notified on said limitations at least one week prior to the Fair. Swine Hair Length: Market swine exhibited at the Asotin County Fair must have at least 1/2 inch of hair. Any swine in question will be measured. Measurements will be done by the swine superintendent and committee. Measurements will be taken at three designated points of the swine. The three points to be measured are: on the top of the pig at the ham/loin junction, along the side of the pig, and the mid side area of the ham. Measuring device will have a line at 1/2 inch and hair found to be lower than that line will be deemed too short. Exhibitors with too short of swine hair will be so designated before going into the show ring for clerical pur-poses. Any exhibitor found to have a hog with hair shorter than 1/2 half of an inch will be penalized by being dropped down one ribbon placing in both fitting and showing and quality classes (Example: a purple ribbon or call back would receive a blue ribbon, a blue ribbon will receive a red ribbon, and a red ribbon will receive a white ribbon). Shaving of the tail and ears is permitted. No oil or powder are to be used on swine. Only cordless clippers will be allowed in the barn. MARKET HOGS CLASS 120 Points allowed: Blue (U.S.#1) 100 Red (U.S.#2) 75 White (U.S.#3) 50 Only barrows and gilts are eligible; any hog showing evidence of pigginess, scars, hernia, sores, bruises, cryptochism or any blemishes that impair the value of the carcass will be disqualified. Market hogs must have been owned and cared for by the exhib-itor since the fourth Saturday of January or first swine weigh-in. Market hogs must be officially tagged. The minimum weight will be 230 lbs at the Official Weigh-in, on Thursday, of Fair. The max-imum weight will be 290 pounds. The maximum payout weight at the livestock auction will be 280 lbs. As an example- a 287 lb. pig would sell at 280 lbs. through the livestock auction. Market hogs not meeting these weight requirements will be shown in Class 121 or Class 122. A belt buckle and rosette will be awarded to the Champion and a trophy and rosette to the Reserve Cham-pion in market class. Lot 1 Market Hog UNDERWEIGHT MARKET HOGS CLASS 121 Points allowed: Blue 75; Red 50; White 35 Market Hogs that meet all the requirements of Class 120 Mar-ket Hogs, except that they weigh less than 230 lbs. at final weigh-in, and will be entered in this class by the superintendent. Lot 1 Underweight Market Hog OVERWEIGHT MARKET HOGS CLASS 122 Points allowed: Blue 75; Red 50; White 35 Overweight Market Hogs Class 122, this class will include all hogs exceeding 290 lbs. These hogs will no longer be qualified to sell in the auction and are not eligible to compete for champion or reserve champion market hogs (Class 120) Lot 1 Overweight Market Hog BREEDING SWINE CLASS 123 Points allowed: Blue 100; Red 75; White 50 All breeding stock must be owned and cared for by the exhibitor as of the first Saturday in December. SHEEP Q-Fever Wording for Sheep and Goats Q-fever is a bacterial organism commonly shed by sheep, goats, and cattle. Goats and sheep in the last 14 days of pregnancy, and female goat and sheep up to 14 days postpartum are most likely to be shedding this organism. This disease is communicable to humans. Female goats and sheep within the last 14 days of preg-nancy, and 14 days following the birth of live or dead lambs/ kids are not allowed to be exhibited at the Asotin County Fair. If there are more sheep entered than there is available pen space, the Fair Board will have the right to impose a limit on number of exhibits per exhibitor shown in Classes 132 &133. Exhibitors will be notified of such limitations at least one week prior to Fair. MARKET LAMBS CLASS 130 Points allowed: Blue 100 Red 75 White 50 Lambs must be born after JULY 1 and weigh at least 90 lbs. at the Official Fair Weigh-in. Market lambs must be owned and cared for by the exhibitor by the third Saturday of February. All market lambs must be officially ear tagged. Only wether and ewe lambs are eligible; ram lambs and cryptorchids will be disqualified. A belt buckle and rosette will be awarded to the Grand Champion and a trophy and rosette to the Reserve Champion Market Lamb. Lot 1 Market Lamb UNDERWEIGHT MARKET LAMBS CLASS 131 Points allowed: Blue 75 Red 50 White 35 All lambs that meet the requirements of Class 130 Market Lambs, except that they weighed less than 90 lbs. at final weigh-in, and will be entered in this class by the Superintendent. Records must be displayed showing sire, dam, breeder and average daily gain on lambs for one years. A trophy will be awarded for top flock and rosette for Reserve. Limit one flock per exhibitor. Flock must come from entries in Class 132. Lot 1 Sheep Flock At least 3 sheep of any age, owned by the same exhibitor. GOATS All breeding stock must be owned and cared for by exhibitor by the first Saturday of December. Breeding certificates must be completed 60 days prior to fair and turned into the Extension Office. Goats must be identified as to breed. A belt buckle and rosette will be awarded to the Grand Champion and a trophy and rosette to Reserve Champion Market Goat. A picture plaque and a rosette awarded to the Champion Meat Breeding Goat Exhibit and a rosette to the Reserve Champion. Goats must be de-horned. MARKET MEAT GOATS CLASS 140 Points allowed Blue 100 Red 75 White 50 Market Meat Goats must be less than one year of age, and weigh a minimum of 70 pounds to be exhibited at the fair. Meat goats must be owned and cared for by the exhibitor by the third Saturday in February. All meat goats must be ear-tagged at the lamb & meat goat weigh-in. Only wethers and does are eligible to be shown, no bucks or cryptorchids.
