3 2018 Armidale Show Youth Show: Conditions of entry 1. EXHIBITORS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE ARMIDALE AND NEW ENGLAND SHOW SOCIETY, RECIEVE ENTIRIES AT HALF PRICE 2. Entrants without a PIC Number will be refused participation 3. All heifers to be owned and registered in the name of the exhibitors 4. Age of Parader must be between 8 and of 25 years of age as of the 19 th February 2018 (For Friday events) 5. All Exhibitors/Paraders must sign a Personal Indemnity Form. 6. All cattle are to be registered with their relevant breed society. 7. Cattle age limits (age as of 19 th February 2018) All heifers must be over 8 months and under 20 months & must be weaned All steers must be milk tooth Steers can be crossbred. (Steer classes will be decided on close of entries) 8. NO bulls will be judged on Friday night. 9. NOSE CLIPS OR RINGS ARE COMPULSORY. 10. No Bulls can be used in the Paraders competition. 11. All cattle must have a legible tattoo in accordance with a society. 12. All cattle MUST have an NLIS Device. 13. Classes for cattle and competitors will be determined after entries close. 14. Appropriate dress must be worn at all times. No thongs or joggers allowed while working with the cattle. 15. No alcohol to be consumed by persons under 18 at any time. 16. Exhibitors must supply their own equipment and feed. 17. No dogs to be allowed on the grounds. If dogs are found they will be IMPOUNDED. 18. Bedding for the cattle will be supplied. 19. Most recent Cattle Health status forms must be supplied with entry forms. 20. All exhibits must have an acceptable temperament, be broken to lead and an animal can be disqualified and removed by the stewards, if it doesn t meet an acceptable standard. 21. Schools/Colleges are eligible to participate. 22. All school competitors must be accompanied by a teacher, parent or guardian. Only students who are currently enrolled at school/college are eligible to compete as a part of the Schools Team. 23. SCHOOLS/COLLEGES CAN PAY FOR STUDENTS IN LUMP SUM WHEN THEY PAY FOR CATTLE ENTRIES 24. Disruptive and unacceptable behaviour from exhibitors and students will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behaviour may lead to disqualification from the competition. 25. ALL EXHIBITORS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MUST HAVE CURRENT CERTIFICATE FROM A REGISTERED ELECTRICIAN AS REQUIRED BY LAW 26. There will be NO SMOKING in the cattle sheds, toilets, eating and sleeping areas. 27. ALL COMPETITORS ENTER AT THEIR OWN RISK. ALL EXHIBITORS MUST COMPLETE AN INDEMNITY FORM 28. ALL PROTESTS TO BE LODGED WITHIN 1 HOUR OF THE CLASS FINISHING, ACCOMPANIED WITH $ STUDS AND EXHIBITORS THAT HAVE NOT PAID BY SATURDAY, WILL HAVE ALL WINNINGS WITHHELD UNTIL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID 30. 5 2018 Schools Competition Entry Fee $30 3 students nominated from your school to compete in Junior Judging & Paraders & Herdsman presentation with total points determining the winning school. Herdsman presentation points will be judged on the presentation of exhibits, stall cleanliness, animal contentment, student presentation and attitude and stall display. 1 entry per school in this competition Judging will take place from 10.00am 6.00pm Friday March 2 nd. BRITISH BREEDS 1 AND BRITISH BREEDS 2 ARE DIVIDED INTO THE BREED CLASSES HIGHLIGHTED IN THE BREEDS TABLE LISTED ABOVE. 2. EACH BREED MUST BE ON A SEPERATE ENTRY FORM 3. Calves less than twelve months exhibited as a calf at foot cannot be exhibited in the under twelve month s class. 4. Entry fee $10 per animal and $5 per animal for school entries (includes bedding and breast plate) 5. ALL LATE ENTRIES, RECIEVED AFTER THE 19TH OF FEBURARY 2018, WILL HAVE TO PAY A $10 LATE ENTRY FEE FOR EACH HEAD THE EXHIBITOR WISHES TO ENTER. 6. Entries close 19th February Exhibits must be registered in respective breed society herd book. 8. Stud grooms are to wear the approved breed uniform. 9. All ages to be taken from the 19th February Calves at foot to be less than nine months. 10. Exhibits can only compete in one general class. 11. All male cattle over 12 months must have a nose ring. All females and males, 9 months and under 12 months to be paraded with a nose dog. 12. Neck straps are compulsory whenever cattle are in the stall. 13. Stewards reserve the right to alter classes if insufficient cattle are entered. 14. Johnes disease declarations by exhibitors/exhibitors agent form to be used. Cattle will be stalled in accordance with Herd Status. 15. STALLING WILL BE DONE IN BREEDS. STUDS WHO HAVE SEVERAL BREEDS, CAN REQUEST ON ENTRIES THAT THE BREEDS BE STALLED NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER. 16. Ribbons will be awarded to third place at the discretion of the judge. 17. STUDS AND EXHIBITORS THAT HAVE NOT PAID BY SATURDAY, WILL HAVE ALL WINNINGS WITHHELD UNTIL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID 18. Only cattle paraded in general classes may be entered in the group classes. 19. Appeal against a judge s decision shall be in writing, submitted within one hour of the decision, and accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be forfeited to the Society if the Committee considers the appeal to be frivolous. The appeal will be considered and decided by the Committee appointed for the purpose, as soon as circumstances permit. Should any exhibit to which a prize has been awarded be disqualified, the next on the list does not necessarily obtain the prize. The committee will decide. 20. Numbers permitting, British breed classes will be split into 16 months and under 18, and 18 months to Paraders must be aged over the age of 12 years to lead bulls, unless the Handler is deemed capable by the Chief steward.
