Herd Health: All cattle will be accompanied by proper health certificates for immediate shipment out of state. All bulls are scrotal measured and semen tested. Scrotal measurements will be provided on a sale day supplement sheet. The bulls have been vaccinated with 8-Way and for IBR, P13, BVD I & II, BRSV, Lepto 5, Pasturella, and given Ivomec Plus injectable. Herd health and semen testing done by Dr. Doug Corey, Associated Veterinary Clinic, Walla Walla, WA. Retained Interest: Kessler Angus is retaining one-third revenue sharing semen interest in all bulls selling. Buyer will receive full possession and full salvage value on bulls. Identification of Sale Cattle: Sale tags correspond with the sale book lot numbers. Ranch tags correspond with tattoos. Terms and Conditions: Cattle will sell under the suggested Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association ( All supplements to the sale book or announcements made from the block take precedence over what is written in this book. First Year Breeding Guarantee: All bulls selling for $2,000 or more will be covered 50% by Kessler Angus if they are injured during their first breeding season. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turnout of the bulls. Fifty percent of the value of the injured bull, minus one-half salvage value, will be given as credit in a future sale or toward a replacement bull if one is available. Salvage value, if any, will be split equally between Kessler Angus and the buyers. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage. All claims must be made by September 1, Example 1: A $5,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $2,500 minus one-half of any salvage value will be given to the buyer. Example 2: A $2,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $1,000 minus one-half of any salvage value will be given to the buyer. Example 3: A $1,750 bull is injured and will not heal. No credit is given. Buyer retains all salvage value. Delivery: Free delivery within 400 miles or bring your trailer and pick up your bulls by February 28 and receive a $100 credit per bull. Bulls will be delivered starting March 15. We can keep the bulls after April 1 with buyer paying feed costs and coming to pick them up when they re ready for them. These spring bulls were born in a tough winter full of long days and nights working as a family to make sure everyone got off to a good start, which makes seeing the end result just a little bit sweeter. As a family, we saw some changes this year as Cheyenne graduated nursing school and took her first job as an RN in California. We moved her down to San Luis Obispo in November. Cody graduated high school and has since started classes in January at Walla Walla Community College. When he s not in school he can usually be found out with his horses. Tierra is working full time on the ranch and does a little bit of freelance writing work in her spare time. As I look back on the more than 55 years I ve spent in the Angus business, I m thankful to everyone that has helped and supported me as friends and customers. I ve dedicated my life to breeding the kind of cattle that keep both me and commercial cattlemen in business. I hope you see the concentration I ve put on building an elite calving ease part of my program and select from those genetics to use on your heifers. The bulls marked as calving ease in the sale book are up to three generations proven as such. While some of the other bulls might meet typical calving ease EPD requirements in many operations, I have always been strict on requirements to be considered truly calving ease. These bulls were sorted and penned here at the ranch at weaning time and have remained in those assignments until sale day. The bulls are hand fed twice a day, receiving long hay and a minimal amount of grain. They are fed to be grown out and not fat, ready to go to work at turnout. These bulls have passed semen tests and are guaranteed through their first breeding season. All of the bulls have been carcass ultrasounded and many were i50k tested as well to improve EPD accuracy. We offer free wintering until April 1 and free delivery within 400 miles. All of our delivery routes are planned out based on the area you re from and we will work with you to get your bull to your ranch or as close to it as possible. You can also pick your bulls up on sale day or within the week and get $100 taken off the sale price. We are always available to discuss your breeding program or ours. The bulls are available to look at any time, so if you prefer to take your time and study the numbers and the bulls, feel free to come and spend some time out in the pens. If you would like help with your bull selections or can t make it to the sale, we can make those selections with or for you with our personal guarantee if you don t like the bulls when you get them, you don t own them.
