ENTRY FORMS: Entry Forms are available online at: then select the Exhibitors & Competitors button which is on the right side of the home page and scroll down to find your department. All substitute exhibits must be entered at the Livestock Office by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in order to show. Registration papers need to be checked by this time also. Entry forms must list name and registration numbers of animals entered and name and registration numbers of sire and dam. All exhibitors and their helpers are required to carry the registration certificates for each animal into the show arena. 25 th September 1 st E.I.S.F. Livestock Office JUDGING SCHEDULE Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9:00 am Showmanship Pee Wee Age 0-7 Junior Age 8-12 Intermediate Senior Age 19 & above Junior Doe Show - all breeds, Wednesday, Classes I - IX immediately following the Junior and Senior Showmanship Senior Doe Show - all breeds, Classes XI - XVII Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 9:00 am Order of Show - BREED ORDER - Subject to change due to emergency only (Will be posted in barn area.) This is an official A.D.G.A. sanctioned show and their rules shall govern. Junior Doe Show, Classes XI XVII and Senior Doe Show, Classes I - IX, and their rules shall apply. A.D.G.A. will sanction 5 purebred, AOP and recorded grade in Junior Does, 8 purebred and recorded grade in Senior Does. Any breed that does not sanction will be placed in AOP Class the following year. The breed must sanction for 2 consecutive years before being placed in their own division. Show order will be posted in Dairy Goat Barn & Show Arena. Horned goats will not be shown, or allowed in Dairy Goat Barn. All Dairy Goats over 6 months of age must have A.D.G.A. purebred, American or recorded grade registration certificates. All Does under 6 months of age may be shown with official duplicate certificates. FEE: $5.00 per head will be charged for individual classes $5.00 per entry for group classes with a maximum of 4 animals per pen Remittance for tickets must accompany the entry NO ENTRY REFUNDS Exhibitors may make as many entries in each class as desired, but no exhibitor will be allowed more than two premiums in any one class. Only goats officially entered with paid premiums will receive pen assignments. No un-entered goats will be allowed without Superintendents approval. 2 P age
3 LATE FEE: Will be at the discretion of the Superintendent after August 17, 2018 at 5:01 p.m. $10.00 late fee per animal will be charged. PASSES: $20.00 Exhibitor full week pass (1 pass allowed per exhibitor) $10.00 Exhibitor ½ week pass 1 pass per 4 animals may be purchased by the Caretaker. ARRIVAL DATE: A. Milking goats entered in the milking competition must be on the grounds on Monday, September 3, 2018 by 12:00pm and must be entered into the open show in order to compete. B. Open Class Dairy Goats must be on the grounds (penned, watered and fed) on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 by 12:00 pm. C. The only ribbons that may be displayed are those won at the 2018 Eastern Idaho State Fair. D. Pens must be cleaned by 8:00 am each day and refuse disposed of as the superintendent may direct. SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: Trucks and trailers cannot be parked in the vicinity of the livestock exhibit buildings, but must be parked on space designated by the Superintendent. All cars, trucks and trailers must be out of the barn area by 10:00 am each day of the fair. No open class livestock will be released before 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2018 Milk-out time will begin at 6:00 pm the day before judging. Animals may be milked out before 6:00 pm, but must be re-milked starting at 6:00 pm. We would like to encourage all exhibitors to wear white while showing animals. Base date for age classes is the first date of show. All goats will be clinically inspected by authorized personal on entering fairgrounds. Goats with Caseous Lympohadentitis (CL), Caprine Arthritis Encephalities (CAE) or any other contagious or infectious diseases, animals exhibiting these symptoms will be asked to leave. All animals shown in group classes must have been shown in their regular individual age class. ANIMALS CANNOT CROSS DIVISIONS FOR GROUP CLASSES Individual classes including Champion Challenge will receive premiums. Excluded are classes 7 and 18. Awards will be made according to the merits of the animal. If no competition exists or if an animal is not worthy of 1st premium, the judge may disqualify or award 2nd, 3rd or 4th premiums at his or her discretion. Only one of each placing in any one class will be awarded unless otherwise specified. Where no competition exists but the judge deems the animal worthy of a blue ribbon it can be considered for Grand Champion, NO premium will be paid if no competition exists. Out-of-state goats must have a health certificate. Copy of current Health Certificate must be provided to Livestock Office on entry to the fairgrounds. 3 P age

Champion Challenge - Permanent champions plus Grand Champion of the Day Rosette & Special Award & Premium Paid Proof of championship can be either the prefix CH, GCH, or SGCH as affixed by ADGA on the animal s registration/recordation certificate, OR presentation of the notification letter, issued by ADGA, in conjunction with the original registration/recordation certificate. The letter is valid for use until December 31 of the year of issuance, after which the certificate of registration/recordation must be officially updated (if using for show purposes). CLASSES: 20. Get of Sire, to consist of 3 does or more, one in milk, the get of one sire. The exhibitor need not own all. Sire must be named. Each exhibitor limited to one entry sired by the same buck. 21. Produce of dam, to consist of 2 or more does any age, 1 to be in milk, produce of the same doe, dam must be named, exhibitor need not own all. 22. Dam and daughter, 1 or more, exhibitor s choice, dam must be named. 23. Three generation females, (or more, exhibitor s choice) to consist of 3 does any age. 24. Breeders Class, 3 does any age, Bred and Owned by exhibitor. 25. Dairy Herd, to consist of 4 does in milk owned by the exhibitor. 26. Best Udder of Breed 27. Exhibitors Herd to consist of 2 Senior Does and 2 Junior Does, all owned by exhibitor. MILKING RULES ENTRY FEE: $3.00 per class due by August 17, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at E.I.S.F. Livestock Office. LATE FEE: $10.00 after August 17, 2018 at 5:01 p.m. ARRIVAL DATE: Animals competing in milking competition must be checked in by 12:00 pm on Monday, September 3, 2018 in order to compete. PREMIUM PAYOUT: Premiums paid to TOP six (6) animals in each Age Group A: 1 year Under 3 years old B: 3 years Under 5 years old C: 5 years and Over Premiums: 1 st place-$30; 2 nd place-$27; 3 rd place-$23; 4 th place-$20; 5 th place-$17; 6 th place-$15 5 P age
6 SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES FOR MILKING: This show is sanctioned by ADGA and their rules shall govern. Goats must be entered in their appropriate breeding class & division. Exhibitors will provide their own milking equipment. Tattoos will be read by supervisor or party conduction the milking competition. The owner will certify in writing to the Superintendent & to ADGA that the goat has not received milk, thyroprotein, or any tonic or condition powder which states on the label it will increase milk production within 10 days of the test. This certificate shall be completed & signed by the owner in the presence of the Superintendent on the day of the milk-out. Goats shall be milked dry and stripped dry in the show ring under supervision of the official tester 24 hours before the hour set for the final milking. Milk out (first milking) will take place at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 3 in the dairy goat show ring. There will be 3 milkings, with the 2nd milking taking place at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4 and the final milking will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4. Points will be awarded as follows; For each pound milk, one point figured to one decimal. For each complete ten days the goat has been in milk since last kidding, one-tenth (.10) of a point, with a maximum of 3.6 points. For each.05 pounds of butterfat yielded in the milkings one point. Information will be sent to A.D.G.A. for any animal earning 18 or more points for a Star Milker designation. DIVISION X 1. 7 Overall Premier Exhibitor Award To be awarded to the exhibitor winning the most money. No limit on number exhibited but award automatically figured on top eight animals winning the most money. All animals on one farm shall be considered one exhibit unless they are separately owned and separately operated. All classes included. OVERALL PREMIER BREEDER AWARD Premier Breeder Award to be awarded to the breeder winning the most money in the open single classes, including animals bred by him but exhibited by others. Premier Breeder is defined as the name appearing as breeder on the registration certificate. No limit on the number exhibited but award automatically figured on top 8 animals winning the most money. All animals on one farm shall be considered one exhibit unless they are separately owned and separately operated. Premier Breeder Award will be awarded to exhibitor on the grounds.
