Here s our link: Air FX Jump Night April 29 th 5pm 8pm Family & Friends welcome to attend Come out to AirFX for a jump night! $10 gets you 1 hour of jumping, grip socks, one round of lazer frenzy, and a fountain drink. Bring a friend or two and burn off some energy! Please fill out the online waiver form ahead of time at this link: Summer Day Camps Are you looking for summer day camps? We have many camps scheduled for this summer. Registration Link: State 4-H Camp: 4-H Palooza: Workshop Overload April 7 th You ll get a day that you get to choose 3 workshops (potential workshops are photography, STEM, Animal Science, Horticulture, Sewing, Food, Communications,

3 Visual Arts, Clothing Events, and Healthy Living). We will cover Copyright and Fair write ups as well! Cost is $25 and the registration forms can be found here: Legislative Trip for 7 th & 8 th Graders March 28 th Join 4-H members and friends as we travel to Des Moines where we will tour the Judicial Center and the State Capitol, visit with legislators and explore the Iowa Hall of Pride. We will arrive at the capital at 8:30am and return early evening. This trip is for any 7-8th grade 4-H members and friends. 4-H members may invite a friend in 7-8th grade, but they must pay register by the deadline (this includes payment and medical form). Cost is $25.00, registration & payment due Wed. March 14. No late registrations accepted Cost includes 4-H Shirt to wear on trip, and a snack for the way home. Youth Will need to bring their own lunch. Registration Forms can be found here: Murder Mystery Fundraiser March 24 th For weeks, people have been pouring into the small western town of Deadwood for the biggest poker tournament this side of the Mississippi. From outlaws to marshals to saloon girls, the vast array of visitors and residents of Deadwood have made this small western frontier town THE place to be. As the festucutues of the poker tournament conclude, a celebration party is planned at the Deadwood Saloon to award the prize money for the tournament and to celebrate what is hoped to be a very financially successful venture for the saloon. With a smattering of banditsm bank owners, saloon girls, gamblers, east cost debutantes and a few of the locals, this is guaranteed to make for a very interesting evening indeed. YOU WOULD BE A FOOL TO MISS THIS CELEBRATION! 4 ALL members must attend an orientation in order to be eligible to exhibit at fair. The horse committee will hold two more orientations; you must attend one of the sessions. March 13 th : Linn County Extension Office at 6:30pm. March 27 th : Linn County Fairgrounds LDM Building 6:30pm Iowa County 4-H Host: Rabbit Workshop Who: Any Iowa 4-H or FFA Member When: Sun. April 8 Where: Zentmire Hall on Iowa County Fair Grounds, Marengo Iowa Time: 1-3 p.m. Topics: Rabbit Care/Management, Breeds, Showing and Rabbit Showmanship, and have an option to make a carrying cage. This Rabbit Workshop will be taught by Bobbi Coats and Iowa County Rabbit Superintendents. Cost is $5/member and registrations are due by March 30 th. However if you want to make a cage please make a separate check payable to Coats Farm. If you have any questions feel free to contact the Iowa County Extension or - mkaiser@iastate.edu. **Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Many times the parents learn more than the 4-H er!! Poultry Project Information Poultry exhibitors are required to attend one orientation, one workshop, and have their birds pulourum tested. Below are dates that have been set by the poultry committee. 3/22 6:30 pm - Poultry Orientation Linn County Fairgrounds 4/19 6:30 pm - Poultry Orientation Linn County Fairgrounds 5/17 6:30 pm - Poultry Workshop Linn County Fairgrounds

5 6/16 9:00 am - PT Testing Linn County Fairgrounds Dog Project Orientation & Clinics APRIL 10 TH 6:30PM There will be a mandatory dog orientation at 6:30pm at the Linn County Fairgrounds LDM building. Clinics will begin the following week on April 17 th and will be every Tuesday until June 12 th. A makeup dog clinic will be on June 19 th. Sheep Weigh-In APRIL 22 ND 1PM 3PM Sheep weigh-in will be April 22 nd 1pm 3pm at the Linn County Fairgrounds. Eye scans for state fair lambs are $5. Ear tags are $2. ALL lambs must be weighed in in order to be eligible to exhibit at county fair. Meat Goat Weigh-In APRIL 22 ND 12PM 1PM Meat goat weigh-in for market wethers is April 22 nd 12pm 1pm at the Linn County Fairgrounds. Eye scans for state fair goats are $5. Ear tags are $2. ALL market wethers must be weighed in in order to be eligible to exhibit at county fair. Beef Workshop APRIL 30 TH 6PM There will be a beef workshop on April 30 th at 6pm at the Linn County Fairgrounds LDM Building. Record books, fair entry help, animal identification help, and more will be discussed. This will count towards the overall beef exhibitor award. FSQA Dates FSQA Dates: ALL MEMBERS WHO SHOW A LIVE ANIMAL THAT CAN END UP IN THE FOOD CHAIN MUST TAKE FSQA TRAINING. YOU MUST RSVP TO THE SESSION YOU WILL BE ATTENDING. SPACE IS LIMITED.
