Players are reminded that they must be attending the prescribed training sessions. If there is any reason why you cannot attend training, you must let your coach know as a courtesy. Please note that with only 1 round remaining, CaSSSA Sport competition and training take priority over water polo and swimming training. Players should communicate a clash with their coaches. Water Polo Draws: A Reminder that water polo draws, results and tables can be found at: Players and parents are encouraged to check this regularly as this competition is renowned for late changes. 4 Sixteen MSM athletes took on Queensland s best representing Metropolitan North Region at the State Athletics Championships at QSAC over the past 4 days. MSM Sports Captain, Brooke Gillmeister s leadership qualities were recognised, with Met North naming her as the captain of the girl s team. On the track and in the field, MSM s athletics program was again on display with a number of strong performances, personal bests and top 10 finishes across the meet. In the field events, Eve Darwin (Year 10) finished in 6th place in the 15 Years High Jump. Mia Liddell placed 9th in the 15 Years Discus. Olivia Hunt (Year 10) finished 4th in the 15 Years 90m Hurdles. MSM Athletics Captain, Sabrina Blasl capped off a wonderful Sunday for MSM with a Silver Medal in the grueling 17 Years 400m. Lily Boland (Year 10) won Bronze in the 4x100m Multi-class relay; Silver in the 16 Years Multi-class 400m; Silver in the 16 Years Multi-class 200m and Gold in the 16 Years Multi-class 100m. MSM Athletics Captain, Josie Hogan (Year 12) placed 7th in the 17 Years Long Jump and won Bronze in the 17 Years 100m Hurdles Brooke Gillmeister (Year 12) won Gold and in the 17 Years 100m Hurdles. Congratulations to all athletes who competed at these Championships over the past 4 days we are so proud of all of you. Best wishes also to the athletes who placed 1st or 2nd in their events. These athletes will now go on to represent Queensland at the National Championships in Cairns in December.

5 Congratulations to Charlie Gibson (Year 8) on her selection in the U14 Queensland Academy of Sport Football squad. This squad forms an integral part of the elite football pathway to the Brisbane Roar through Football Queensland and recognises the elite players in each age group. Charlie will train at the Roar s brand new facility at Logan ahead of the 2019 season.
