2 Absolutely AMAZING turnout and engagement from the participants and parents at this event. It was really fun and we talked to more than 300 people! -Spring K Partner 3,750+ girls served annually in our positive youth development program 220 program sites in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties 850+ volunteer coaches who lead team of girls through our 10-week program 18,000+ runners and event attendees annually across our GOTR Charlotte 5K Series With the help of generous sponsors and donors, we were able to provide financial assistance to almost 60% of our program participants who otherwise would not have been able to participate in Girls on the Run. The Girls on the Run 5K is the culmination of our 10-week program where our girls and their running buddies run, hop, skip, or jump across the finish line to achieve a goal set at the beginning of the season. The GOTR 5K is a family friendly, non-competitive event that gives our girls a tangible sense of accomplishment and the belief that they can achieve anything. We host a North Region 5K in Concord and a South Region 5K in Southwest Charlotte to serve the needs of our girls, their families, and the community. Local chefs come out of the kitchen to prepare a three course meal in front of a table of 12 guests. Tables available for purchase or included as benefit with select sponsor packages. Limitless Potential Breakfast: Thursday, November 8, 2018 Held annually the second Thursday in November at The Hilton Uptown. Invitation only fundraising event with keynote speaker. Promote your company to and network with 400+ local business professionals and community members at this inspirational breakfast! Learn More Host a give back event with a percentage of sales benefitting GOTR and drive traffic to your location, as well as increase brand awareness to our girls, families, coaches and the community. Motivate Girls at the 5K: Host a cheer team or water station at our GOTR 5Ks. Coach a Team: Coaches are the heart of our program and are needed to lead GOTR teams across the Charlotte area for the Fall and Spring program seasons. Training is provided. Become a SoleMate: SoleMates are women and men who raise money for GOTR Charlotte while they train for the athletic event of their choice. Customized Group Opportunities: We can host a volunteer service day for your group. Companies often will match employee s donations to Girls on the Run Charlotte or donate money for employee who volunteer their time with GOTR. Check with your employer for details. Individuals wanting to share their leadership, time and talents with Girls on the Run can apply for a position on the Board of Advisors.
