3 7th EES FLTRI Indr Aquathln Athletes Guide 1 Organisatin The «Indr Aquathln» is a cmpetitin rganised by the Fédératin Luxemburgeise de Triathln asbl FLTRI). Phne: Mail: inf@fltri.lu Web: The cmpetitin takes place at the Arena f the Cque Sprts Center ( Address: 2, rue Lén Hengen L-1745 Luxemburg 2 Definitin f the cmpetitin The «Indr Aquathln» is a cmpetitin cnsisting f a swim fllwed by a run. ITU Cmpetitin Rules are applied. An illustratin f the pl is given in the appendix. Befre the race: - Bdy marking f the Bib Number has t be made n each arm at the registratin. - Athletes have t register fr each serie separately at the Check-In Zne 20min befre each f their race starts. The Check-In Zne is near t the transitin zne and marked by a panel. N athlete is allwed t g t the pl n his wn! T avid any accidents, crssing r blcking f athletes between the pl and the transitin during their race, the referee in charge f the Check-In Zne will bring the grup f athletes (f the same serie) t the pl as sn as the swim f the previus race is dne. This is als t avid wrng signals f the timing chips. The nn-respect f this prcedure can lead t a time penalty r DSQ. - A mandatry briefing is given at the Check-In Zne. The swim: pl length f 50m and 6 lanes. - Wearing a swim cap is mandatry fr all athletes. Start side: The transitin: Age Gruper, Junir, Yuth A/B (250m) will start n side B f the pl. Kids A/B (50m) will start n side B f the pl. Yuth C (100m) will start n side A f the pl. Lane attributin: Fr all races except Kids A/B: 2 r 3 athletes per lane. Free chice f lanes n first-cme first-served basis. ONLY athletes are allwed t enter the transitin zne! After the swim all items f the athlete have t be put int the transitin bag. N item has t be left at the transitin! The bag has t be put dwn in the drp-ff zne at the beginning f the run. Failure t cmply with this rule will result in a 10 secnd time penalty. The use f the fficial transitin bag, given at the registratin, is mandatry fr all athletes, except Kids A/B! The transitin bags can be picked up at the Pick Up Zne immediately after Fédératin Luxemburgeise de Triathln, a.s.b.l. 1

4 7th EES FLTRI Indr Aquathln Athletes Guide each race. Athletes have t shw their Bib Number t get their bag. 30 minutes after the finish f the last race, the Pick Up Zne will be clsed. The run: 200m frm the pl t the arena and arund the indr track f 200m: The run frm the pl exit t the 1 st crssing f the finish line (including transitin zne) is cunted as 200m. Each lap n the indr track will cunt as 200m. Wearing shes in mandatry fr Kids A/B and Yuth C athletes. Wearing the Bib number n the frnt side after the transitin bag drp ff zne is mandatry. 3 Terms and cnditins By enrlling in the cmpetitin, every athlete pledges t adhere t the regulatins and discharges the rganizer f any incident r accident that may ccur due t disregarding these regulatins. A valid license is mandatry fr participating in the event. The FLTRI will sell daily licenses n site t athletes that dn t have r cannt shw a valid triathln license at the race registratin. 4 Eligibility fr registratin The cmpetitin is pen fr male and female athletes brn in 2011 r earlier. Age Grup, Junir and Yuth A/B athletes will cmpete against each ther. The number f participants is limited t Classificatin and qualificatin criteria The number f series will depend n the number f registratins. Age Grup / Junir / Yuth A/B Men race: 8 series; qualificatin t the next rund f the 3 best athletes f each series (24) + the 16 best cmpetitin times + 4 best athletes f each 2 nd rund (4) + 4 best times (4) fr a ttal f 48 qualifiers t the ¼-finals. Qualificatin f the 4 best athletes f each ¼-final (16) + the 8 best cmpetitin times fr a ttal f 24 qualifiers fr the ½-finals. Qualificatin f the 4 best athletes f each ½-final (8) + the 4 best cmpetitin times fr a ttal f 12 qualifiers fr the final. Age Grup / Junir / Yuth A/B Wmen turnament: 3 series; qualificatin t the next rund f the 3 best athletes f each series (9) + the 12 best cmpetitin times + the 3 best athletes f the 2 nd rund fr a ttal f 24 qualifiers t the ½- finals. 5 7th EES FLTRI Indr Aquathln Athletes Guide Yuth C turnament There will be a 1 st final with the 18 best athletes (mix f bys and girls) and a 2 nd final with the remaining athletes. Final classificatin by additin f the 2 races (series + finals). Kids A/B turnament There will be a 1 st final with the 18 best athletes (mix f bys and girls) and a 2 nd final with the remaining athletes. Final classificatin per categry (Kids A / Kids B) by additin f the 2 races (series + finals). 6 Schedule Registratin and Bib number pick-up starts at 8:00 Race schedule will be cnfirmed after the registratin clses n Luxemburg Triathln and Facebk: 7 Warm-up and start prcedure Warm-up nly allwed fr Age Grup / Junir / Yuth A/B races (250m): after the athletes have chsen their lane they can enter the pl n side A, nce all the athletes have entered the pl, a technical fficial (TO1) walks frm side A t side B; during warm-up the athletes must remain between TO1 and side B f the pl and mve twards side B as the TO1 mves frward t side B, a secnd technical fficial (TO2) will enter the pl area n side A as sn as the race-start has been cleared, when ready, TO1 will call the n yur mark signal, requiring the athletes t put ne hand n the pl wall, start signal is given by whistle blw f TO2 n side A f the pl. 8 False start As per ITU cmpetitin rules, a false start f few athletes will result in a 10 secnd time penalty r in a new start in the case f a false start frm several athletes. Athletes frm the categry Yuth A, Yuth B and Junir wh enrlled fr the champinship will be classified in the Elite Men and Wman.
