1 I-69 Program Segment Committee MEMORANDUM OF CONFERENCE CALL SUBJECT: I-69 Segment Four and Five Committees Conference Call DATE: February 16, 2011 PARTICIPANTS: Participants List (Attachment 1) Purpose: The purpose of this conference call was to: 1) review the Segment Four and Five Committees January 2011 meeting notes; 2) discuss traffic forecasts for the I-69 program sections within the Segment Four and Five Committee limits; and 3) review upcoming segment committee meeting activities. The conference call agenda is included as Attachment 2. Welcome/Introductions: Art Garcia, Segment Four and Five Committee facilitator, welcomed the participants and conducted a role call of all Segment Four and Five Committee members, as well as other participants on the call. Pat Liston, Segment Four Committee chair, and Judge Terry Simpson, Segment Five Committee chair, expressed concern that there were few committee members participating in the call. Doise Miers indicated that seven committee members were on the call. She asked the chairs if they wanted to adjourn the call and discuss the conference call agenda items at the March meeting. It was agreed to defer today s discussions until March. Discussion of Next Meeting Activities It was confirmed that the next committee meeting will be held in Laredo on March 16, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Doise Miers explained that at this meeting, the public involvement specialist will focus on the public engagement and outreach that the Segment Committees will be conducting. In addition, the traffic forecasts (Attachments 3 and 4) discussions from today s conference call will be held over until the March meeting. The meeting was then adjourned. Attachments: 1.
