Pyeatt Jr. President January 1, 2018 Dear Potential Pear Run Sponsor: The purpose of this letter is to invite you to join us as a Corporate Sponsor for the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) 14 th Annual Pear Run. This is a 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Pearland Police Department. The Pear Run will occur on Saturday, May 12, The run will start at the Pearland Town Center located at W. Broadway St., Pearland, TX and begin at 7:00 a.m. A Kids Fun Run and Award Ceremony will follow the Run. Over the last three years with donations and contributions, the PCPAAA has been able to make several substantial and beneficial purchases for the Police Department. We donated $25,000 towards the Pearland Fallen Officers Memorial which is currently in its design phase. We also donated $45,000 towards the cost of $75,000 it took to purchase and train three (3) new K-9 Officers. In addition, we donated $16,000 to purchase eight (8) fully equipped Cannondale 29er Law Enforcement Patrol bicycles. Our efforts to assist the Pearland Police Department in purchasing items like those mentioned above would be extremely difficult unless we have the support of key sponsors in our community. 3 Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) Celebrating - Our 14 th Annual Pear Run Established 1995 Happy New Year! This year the Pearland Citizens Police Academy will sponsor its 14th Annual Pear Run on Saturday, May 12, The run will be held at the Pearland Town Center Pavilion located at W. Broadway St., Pearland, TX. The annual event includes a sanctioned 10K run along with a 5K run/walk and a Kids Fun Run. The Pear Run benefits the Pearland Police Department through the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA). The donations along with other money raised from this event will go towards the Pearland Police Department. We are inviting Pearland citizens and all surrounding businesses to become part of our annual Pear Run Sponsor Program. The memorial is currently in its fundraising phase and construction is scheduled to start in The PCPAAA donated over $45,000 to the police department in The funds assisted the purchase and training of three (3) new K-9 Officers: Cola (assigned to Ofc. Brown), Nodi (Assigned to Ofc. Oubre) and Atos (assigned to Ofc. Tauss). The police department currently has four (4) narcotics/tracking dogs and one (1) explosives canine. William R. Pyeatt PCPAAA President 2018 Pear Run Chairman (832) $16,000 was donated to the Pearland Police Department Bike Patrol to purchase 8 fully equipped Cannondale 29er Law Enforcement Patrol Bicycles. In 2017, $6,500 was donated towards equipment purchases for Pearland Police Departments recently implemented Rape Aggression Defense training program. $5,000 was donated for updates to the Crash Data Cables used by our investigative team to reconstruct accidents involving fatalities. Pearland is the only agency in Brazoria County with this capability. PCPAAA also pays to maintain the updates and new releases. Total value today is over $20,000.
