Athletes may enter in four individual events, of which no more than three may be track events (relay not included) 2. Age classification as of January 1, Waiver forms must be filled-out and submitted by each athlete or a blanket waiver by coach with power of attorney (list all athletes). Athletes without signed waiver forms will not be allowed to compete. NOTE: supply on event day. 4. Events with less than five athletes may be combined with another age group. 5. Athletes are not allowed to move up an age group 6. Starting blocks for Atom and MTA Sr. only. 7. Athletes must be registered as competitive members ir club affiliated for 2012 with MTA by March 25th, 2012 to be eligible for entry. 8. In all track events Girls will compete followed by Boys for each age category

2 General Rules: Track events take precedence over field schedules. If the timing of a field and track event conflict, the athlete must check in at both events, notify both officials of the conflict and be ready to run when the race is started. The athlete will be able to return to the field event. Please note: If the competition has progressed to the final eight competitors then the event is closed FIELD EVENTS Jumps and Throws < 20 participants, each competitor receives 3 trials top 8 get 2 additional jumps > 20 participants, each competitor receives 2 trials top 8 get 2 additional jumps In either case - top eight receive an additional 2 trials. Only the best result of the day is scored for position. A tie will be broken by the second best jump. Seniors Jump from the line. TRACK EVENTS Sprints/ Hurdles m There will be Heats and Finals for these events One Heat: Straight Final Two Heats: 1st & 2nd in each heat plus next four fastest times to final. Three Heats: 1 st in each heat plus next five fastest times to final. Four Heats: 1st plus next four fastest times to finals. *Five Heats: 8 fastest times advance to B final the next 8 fastest times advance to the A final *Six Heats: 8 fastest times advance to B final the next 8 fastest times advance to the A final **Seven Heats: 8 fastest times advance to C final the next 8 fastest times advance to the B final **Eight Heats: 8 fastest times advance to C final **Nine Heats: 8 fastest times advance to C final **Ten Heats: 8 fastest times advance to C final *A and B Finals B being the fastest **A,B,C Finals C being the fastest

3 Awards: Medals will be awarded for the first three places in all events with ribbons for the next three places. Participation ribbons for all competitors. Duplicate medals will be awarded to non-ontario athletes finishing in the top three Entry Fees: Individual events: $10.00 per event and $1.00 MTA fee per athlete Relays: No fee. All fees payable by cash, bank drafts, money orders or club cheques. NO PERSONAL CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO POST-DATED CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
