12 Start Procedure Athletes in position: Starter is the Race Referee The start can be given any time after the Race Director announces On your mark Horn blast The race starts

13 False Start Procedures False start Example 1: Several horn blasts Kayaks in front of you Everyone goes back to her/his spot False start Example 2: If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts with the horn, the athlete who false started will receive a time penalty of 15 seconds in TA1. During the time penalty, athlete cannot take any equipment!

14 The Course Swim 1 lap: = total 1,500m for the youth 500m and for the sprint 750 Bike 2 laps of 18km = total 36km Sprint 1 lap 18K Youth turn at Kineret 12K Run 8 laps of 1.25km = total 10km Sprint 4 laps of 1.25 = total 5km Youth 2 laps of 1.25 = total 2.5 Km

17 Transition Area Exit water run left to end of transition area and then right to your stand location Traditional bike racks two rows Running shoes in front, helmet on the bike and fasten Bags near the bike Goggles & swim caps at position Mount line at the end of the TA On return enter transition area on the right side to the end, make left turn to your stand location and exit forwar for run

22 Run Course Olympic - 8 laps (total distance of 10km) Flat course to Tiberias and back Aid stations: One station in the middle of course Open bottles 500 cc water Discard plastic bottles off the course Ice Pool at aid station and at finish gantry Congestion in finish area: Go to mixed zone / recovery area

24 Penalty Box There will be a Penalty Box on the start of each run laps and at the exit and turn of the second bike lap Any penalties must be served in the Penalty Box Your number will be displayed on a board at the Penalty Box It is your responsibility to go to the Penalty Box You can stop on any of the laps of the run Wait in the Penalty Box until the official tells you to leave If you do not stop, you will be disqualified
