1 Article 1 Definition Rules of Run In Reims 2016 edition Run In Reims is an event that includes three road races with timing of individual performances, which will take place on Sunday 9 th October 2016 in the city of Reims: a 10 km race, a half-marathon and a marathon. The city of Reims is the owner of the event but this 2 nd edition is organised by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) under the supervision of the French Federation of Athletics (F.F.A.) Article 2 Route The routes, measuring 10 km, 21.1 km and km are compliant with international roadracing regulations (IAAF and FFA). The detail of the route can be viewed on the event s web site ( The refreshment points, made up of bottles of water and fruit, are set up all along the route. There is one refreshment point for the 10 km runners, 3 refreshment points for the half-marathon runners and 8 refreshment points for the marathon runners, plus a refreshment point after the finishing line for all the runners. Article 3 Terms of participation The 10 km race is open to runners who are members of a sporting federation or not, born in 2000 or before. The half-marathon is open to runners who are members of a sporting federation or not, born in 1998 or before. The marathon is open to runners who are members of a sporting federation or not, born in 1996 or before. Competitors born after 9 th October 1998, minors at the date of the event, should provide a parental consent. It should be reminded that tests will be made during the events in order to make sure that the races are entirely fair. It is expressly indicated that the runners who take part in the competition do so under their own and sole responsibility. Participation in sporting events organised by sports federations or under their auspices is subject to the possession of a medical certificate stipulating the absence of contraindications for participation in running competitions dating from less than one year. Foreign participants must provide a medical certificate demonstrating there are no contraindications to taking part in athletics or competitive running races, even if they hold a competitive membership card issued by a federation affiliated to the IAAF. This certificate must be dated, signed and enable the authentication of the doctor, whether the latter is based on national territory or not. If the doctor is not French, the medical certificate must be written in language: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian or Portuguese.

2 The medical certificate must necessarily be given only when picking up your bib. No medical certificate sent beforehand by post or , will be taken into account. Article 4 Registration Registration for the event will be made exclusively on the online registration platform: from Tuesday 21 th June The students/trainees rate will be applicable for every person who will present a student card (confirm in October, 2016) as well as an ID card during the bibs collect. No repayment will be made in case of final registration. The unemployed person rate will be applicable for every person who will have presented the proof of entitlement (valid in October, 2016) to runinreims@aso.fr For safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to limit the number of competitors in the race. All registrations are personal, firm and definitive and shall not be refunded for whatever reason there may be. Transferring a registration for whatever reason is not authorised. Any person passing on their race number to another person shall be held liable in case of an accident that occurs or is caused by the latter during the event. The organisers disclaim all liability in case of accidents arising from this type of situation. The race number must be perfectly readable during the full duration of the race. Article 5 Collection of race numbers Race numbers are to be collected from the Run In Reims Village, Stade Auguste Delaune, 37 Chaussée Bocquaine, Reims,, on Friday 7 th October 2016 from 10am to 8pm and Saturday 8 th October 2016 from 9am to 7pm.. The race number collection procedure is fully detailed in the Medical Certificate section of the event s web site. Important: No race numbers shall be distributed on Sunday, the day of the race. No race numbers shall be sent by post. Article 6 Classification The participants have a maximum time of 1h50 for the 10 km, 2h50 for the half-marathon and 5h30 for the marathon to complete the route up to the finishing line. After the passage of the end of race vehicle, it is compulsory that the participants comply with the traffic rules of the French Highway Code. The different age categories will have separate classifications in agreement with the FFA. Article 7 Safety on the route The road safety is ensured by the Marne Police Commission and the organiser. The event's medical team may decide to withdraw a competitor for medical reasons. Bicycles, devices with rollers and/or motorised propulsion are strictly forbidden on the route.

3 Article 8 - Timing All registered competitors will receive an electronic chip on collecting their race numbers. This chip will be detected on the starting line, every intermediary mat and at the finishing line. A competitor who has not followed the full road route cannot receive a classification on finishing. Article 9 Anti-doping Run In Reims is an event organized under the aegis of the FFA, as such, anti-doping controls will be in place. Participants in Run In Reims shall strictly comply with the doping ban and the provisions regarding doping controls, as they result from laws and regulations, including Articles L and following of the Code Sport Article 10 - Insurance Public liability: In compliance with enforceable legislation, the organiser has taken out insurance covering the financial consequences of its own public liability as well as that of its representatives and all participants in Run In Reims. As regards the public liability of participants, cover is restricted to accidents caused by them during the event. It is in addition to any other insurance policies they may already have. An insurance certificate can be provided to participants on request. Individual Accident: All the participants in Run In Reims, whether members of a sporting federation or not, may take out an insurance policy, either on their registration at the event, either straight away by mail or no later than when they collect their bib, which guarantees payment of a capital sum in case of bodily injury (death or permanent disability) caused by an accident occurring on the route of the race during the event. The benefit, which will depend upon the degree of injury and of limits of cover chosen, shall be paid if the insured person suffers an accident whilst taking part in the race. This insurance is optional but strongly recommended. It may be taken out in addition to or in the absence of insurance of the same type held in particular via membership of a sporting federation. Property damage: The organisers disclaim all liability in case of damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) affecting the personal belongings of the participants, even when such items are in the organisers possession. Participants shall not make claims against the organiser for any damage caused to their equipment. Each participant is responsible for ensuring he or she has insurance covering these sorts of risks. Article 11 Image rights Each competitor expressly and exclusively grants to A.S.O., his assigns and/or successors, the irrevocable right to reproduce and represent, free of charge, his name, likeness, voice, biography and more generally, his sporting performance within the Event, in any form, by any means, on any medium or device, now known or later developed, in all formats, for any public release, anywhere in the world, for any and all use including for advertising and/or

4 commercial purposes, and for the longest duration of the protection currently afforded to this exploitation by any copyright law, regulations, legal and/or arbitration decisions in any country and by current or future international conventions, including any extensions to that period. Each competitor expressly and irrevocably authorises A.S.O., his assigns and/or successors, as required for the purpose of advertising, promotional and/or commercial campaigns, to 1) make any change, addition or deletion as they see fit in order to exploit my image in the terms defined above; 2) associate and/or combine with my image any or all signatures, catch lines, slogans, legends, trademarks, distinctive signs, legal information, visuals and in general any element that A.S.O., its assigns and successors in title may select, including for the purpose of illustrating the communication media in which they are included. The competitor warrants that he is not bound by any exclusive agreement with a third party related to the use of his likeness and/or his name and/or his voice. A.S.O. expressly undertakes to refrain from using the competitor s name, voice or likeness in any medium that is pornographic, racist or xenophobic in nature and from making any detrimental use thereof, and undertakes to impose the same prohibition/restriction on its assigns and successors in title. Article 12 - Use of drones The day of the event, unmanned aircraft (drones) will be used for filming purposes. In the event of a major incident of flight, a beep will alert nearby participants will then move away from the device. Article 13 Newsletters Registering for Run In Reims implies the compulsory subscription for each participant to the event s newsletters until the date on which Run In Reims takes place. Article 14 Acceptance of the rules Participating in Run In Reims involves the express acceptance by each competitor of the rules filed with court bailiff Astrid Desagneaux, 4 rue Quentin Bauchat, Paris). The competitor hereby pledges to not start the race early and cover the full distance before crossing the finishing line. Article 15 Applicable law - litigation All claims must be made in writing, in English or French, with the following details: the name, first name and race number of the competitor. The claim must be addressed to the office of the organizing company, within thirty days after the announcement of results. 5 It will respond to any telephone or written request concerning the interpretation or application of these Rules. ASO reserves the right, if circumstances required to shorten or cancel the Run In Reims. Its liability cannot be incurred as a result. These Rules was drafted in French which will be considered as official language. It is subject to French law. Any disputes that may result from its interpretation or its execution will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Versailles.
