2 The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation (EPC) is hosting its annual Perk Up Half Marathon. The Perk Up Half Marathon is a chipped timed, challenging course combining rolling hills and beautiful scenery in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. Proceeds from the event support EPC s Patient Services Program providing support to patients affected by bleeding disorders. What is Hemophilia? A genetic bleeding disorder that prevents the blood from clotting normally There is no cure Treatment involves injections of medication multiple times per week beginning from birth Hemophilia treatment is among the most expensive in the world with a total annual costs per patient ranging from $60,000 to as much as $1,000,000 for some patients Where does the money go? Research grants Patient services, including MedicAlert bracelets and protective clothing for children, such as comfy caps to prevent brain bleeds. Camp opportunities for children Educational programs and events Get Involved The Runner s Expo and Packet Pickup will be held in the Hollenach Athletic Center at The Perkiomen School (200 Seminary Ave., Pennsburg, PA 18073). The one-day expo will be the primary location for all packet pick-up, t-shirts, timing bibs and goodie bag pick-up. The Expo is an opportunity for local businesses to set up display tables to promote their business by handing out flyers or giveaways, and marketing themselves to the runners and families participating in the half marathon. We are expecting about 500 runners for this event, most of whom will visit the Expo with their families. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to promote your business to a fresh audience. Exhibit space at the Expo is available on a first come, first served basis. The following pages contain information on how to become a Sponsor or Exhibitor for the Perk Up Half Marathon. 3 SPONSORSHIP LEVELS $ Port-o-Potty Sponsor Your logo and advertisement will be placed on the inside and outside of the portable toilets at the event. (As the event grows so does the need for more toilets!) Port-o-Potty courtesy of YOUR NAME HERE! $ Water Stop Sponsor Sponsor will receive signage at one of the select water stations along the course, which will recognize your company. Sponsor has the opportunity to provide 5-10 volunteers to staff the station while wearing company apparel. $100 Mile Sponsor Sponsor will receive signage at one select mile marker, which will recognize your company. $50 Vendor Space (only) Exhibitor receives vendor space to set up a display at the Perk Up Expo the day prior to the event. IN-KIND SPONSOR: Donations of food, water, door prizes or giveaway items. Giveaway items will be distributed to all participants at the event.
